In case anybody is wondering, as of yesterday you could still get an order in and be within the first 200, thus qualifying for the black police issue grips. I was also told I will be sent payment instructions when the kits are ready to ship.

I received an email confirming I'm on the list and made the 200 cut-off. They also mentioned there was a change to some of the parts, so things are running a bit behind, although they're expecting shipment around mid-April.

I ordered mine this week, there still seem to be some left, only the first 200 get the free police grips but not sure what number they're now up to. I wouldn't think they'll be available for too much longer!

Plastic barrel.

The only offering that had a metal barrel was the original model kit from 2009 or so.

I was planning to do a run of steel barrels even if the kits came with zinc ones. I like the contrast of metals. Did that on my snub nose blaster and was very pleased with the results.

I'll have to wait for the kit to come out so I can measure the barrel. I'm not willing to disassemble my Tomenosuke Pro!

Its encouraging that the kit will be fine tuned to total accuracy

Although Tomenosuke team and Marushin have been doing their best efforts to deliver as scheduled, I must announce that delivery of the kit will be delayed to the end of April due to some changes of small parts as accurate as possible and make sure the instruction manual correct and nice-looking.

I really appreciate you all would understand this delay makes our product better and beautiful.

What do you think the chances are of this getting into Australia? I want one but its alot of dough to cough up for potentially nothing.

I got a Rick Ross in without problems. May well depend on where you are, though - WA and Queensland should be okay but then again, an individual customs agent may disagree. It's a gamble.

Especially since a lot of the parts are metal and there's a big ol' picture of a gun on the cover of the box. You're safest bet would be to have it shipped to a member in the U.S. that would split it into two shipments in plain boxes. But that would cost more in shipping.
