Blade Runner Blaster news: model kit version of the Tomenosuke Blaster is coming

Some info for Aussies here. You can import non-firing replica pistols (except for a few types) in Queensland as long as you have the appropriate import permit (B709A) for Customs. I have needed it for several imports but not for another metal Blade Runner blaster kit although I did have it ready. You need to explain exactly what it is, what it's made of and what its intended use is (ie for display). It also help to note that it cannot possibly fire a live round. You often need the permit even for hollow resin castings.

I emailed them and the response was:

"Yes, we are sending the info by partial basis. As soon as I got more kits, will let you know.
Thanks for your patient.
Mune"

Unless the exporter needs the form for export, my understanding is that you supply it if and when Customs actually seizes the item. They write to you, you get the form, they release it, if they don't decide to be really nitpicky. (And if they do...they get a warrant and raid your house.) Disclaimer; comes from scuttlebutt on the firearms forums, haven't yet had anything seized myself.

Don't worry, man (says a perennial worrier cough ahem). You got your confirmation so you are on the list. They're now saying there's a further short delay anyway, even after confirming receipt of payment - about another week or something. They're also saying things about shipping in small batches in order of receipt of payment etc etc.

AFAIK this is not a big time operation and they seem to be taking their time to get it right, but I think once the dust has settled we'll see that from go to whoa the lead time will compare very well with many projects run right here on the boards.

I'm a bit late to the game, but sent my e-mail request to Mune on Monday and received a reply yesterday. On the list!
