I can ask about thicker lining options.
I don't know about the coating, but it will likely be finalized in the next week or two. Either all of the coats will have it or none of them will, there will not be a difference between earlier and later orders.
I'm ordering one now, but I have two questions:
1: Do the numbers on the size chart represent the size of the coat, or the recommended measurements of the wearer?
2: I'm going to be moving to a different address by the end of the year. If this happens before the coat is shipped, can I change the address?

Just realized I was wrong about that, it's jacket size not body size. Let me know if you need to change what size you ordered and I'll leave a not for myself on your order.

It's the same way of measuring, just take the measurements on top of a jacket or thin coat that fits you well.
eh... I kind of think the one on the current prototype is closer. I think a bit of weathering would make that one look almost dead on to the screen used.

I know this is a bit late since the coat is now for sale, but has this screenshot aleady been considered regarding the lettering?
I've been a little concerned the lettering might be a little too pronounced. I know in that shot the lighting is washing away some detail, but it still seems like the printing is more on the subtle side. Just wanted to mention it in case this pic was overlooked.

It's tricky. This image is the best example I think.
If you look on the nearest lapel, it definitely looks like longer fur. It's just been matted downwards and abused with continuous heavy use (we know they weathered it and rubbed boot polish into it to simulate this on the production).
But you look at the collar, it looks a lot more like a sheep fur or a wool lining (more like the stuff you used on the current prototype). Perhaps they were trying to suggest where it's rubbed against the neck the fur has worn and matted so they weathered it more. Again you can see the boot polish has been used.
It's difficult to make a suggestion. A heavy dose of weathering and boot polishing and we might get this new fur to look just like what's in the pictures.
@Zlurpo Could we see a prototype piece of this stuff dyed and ready to apply? Might be easier to make a judgment then?

Yeah, my guy will dye some and I'll get shots of both types of fur next to the canvas.
Here's the best pic to see the fur detail I know of. Ignore the comment about the stitches.
So on Etsy I see a buckle on the collar... does this have a magnet in the collar, or do you have to buckle it? I would want it to close with the brush of the hand like in the movie (with a magnet). Can you clarify?
Second question... when you say we are waiting for a coating, does that include the wax? I really like the idea of a waxed cotton, so is this a regular cotton right now, not waxed?

The jacket has magnets and a buckle. The magnets are there to hold the collar folded, and the buckle is to close the collar when it's up. The buckle is how it actually closes in the movie.
