Black Widow - The Avengers Movie Style

Currently in the completion stages of the Iron Man 2 Black Widow costume. We are having trouble keeping the belts that hold the holsters from slipping down. I made them out of standard black webbing. Do you guys have any recommendations as to something we could put on the back of them to prevent them from slipping?

I haven't really made any costumes and therefore haven't encountered this problem but for non-slip stuff I'd suggest perhaps something like a silicone non-slip dashboard mat for a car? I'm not sure whether or not it would work but it's the first thought that came to mind.

Security guard belts usually have a velcro back. This allows you to just apply the opposite velcro on your "uniform" (or suit) and the belt will stay in place. You can do the same thing any part of the costume that needs to stay in place.

I've finally started to work on my Civil War costume, it's not easy but I'll try to do my best.

The first problem was the wig. If you look at the movie, she seems brownish; if you look at promo pictures, she looks reddish. To me Natasha Romanoff is a red-hair woman, so I've decided to buy a Matilda, from Arda Wigs, in Dark Copper Red. I'm going to restyle it and maybe cut it a little.

She has new weapons, called "tonfa", like batons. I found them on amazon and on ebay, but be careful to buy the training one (lighter and safer for a con). She has the telescopic ones, but they cost a lot and I can't afford them.

I'm looking for a pair of boots to modify and for the fabrics, I'll post updates if any of you is interested in the Civil War version.

Civil War Costume UPDATES

Today I went fabric shopping with my best friend (who's gonna be the one to sew the catsuit, because I'm not good enough at sewing) and we found:

Black Neoprene 3d fabric with honeycomb structure

because the catsuit has two different type of fabric, sewed together with opened metallic zips, as you can see in this photo:

So i bought six of them, 75 cm long just to be sure. I'll post other updates soon.

I was scrolling through eBay to find the exact gloves for Black Widow but then I noticed something...

Many people think Alpinestars Stella Tyla gloves are screen accurate, I agree that they look very similar. But side to side comparison reveals that there are actually few differences between Black Widow's glove and the Alpinestars one. I believe they used it as an inspiration and made their own version for the movie. Any opinions about it?
