It is not really supposed to be an exact replica though. These helmets are great at the price point!

I wouldn't even call the Vader a replica. More like a chariacature. The other helmets have been much closer.

I'll grant that the BS Vader is a little.... cartoony almost like it's based more on one of the action figures than the actual helmets (now that I think of it, it really resembles the Sideshow 1:6th Vader..) BUT it's really fun so I don't care and display it with my other helmets... just not right next to my other Vader.

I'm personally a huge fan of the Black Series helmets! They're a great buy if you want to leave them as-is but they also make a solid base for customizing. Hoping to have some fun with the Luke X-Wing helmet when it arrives! There's a lot of complaints about the Vader helmet but a little bit of paint and modding goes a long way. Here's mine:

A lot of people don’t realize that pretty much any of the smaller metal helmets in the BS are precursors to what the larger variants will be. There are a few good options there and so far all the current options are of the small metal ones.

Great, is an understatement. The price to build quality and accuracy is exceptional. 20 years ago we would have been wetting ourselves.

I've yet to see any image of it on a human head. There were photos of it on a styrofoam head, and the head looked small as it should as those are usually not very large.

I just saw an image posted on the Fett thread. assuming the Fett helmet is to scale, I think the X-Wing helmet looks right.
