Target is weird. The one right near me is out of stock, but I was able to have one shipped to my place of work on Sept. 1st -- but I was hoping to just pick it up in person. Free shipping, so no loss there. The (slight) problem is, that ship date is Labor Day weekend so I might not see it until a week from Tuesday.

I was hoping for that, too, but a redesign that's basically legit out-of-box.
As someone who bought 2 of the originals and modded 1 of those, it was a mixed bag. It needed a lot of work that was, imo, almost not worth it in the end. Fun and learned a lot, but between 3D printing parts, plastic welding, bondo, re-chroming the grill, etc, it quickly made up for any savings from buying Hasbro in the first place. And now a lot of kits can be bought online that are super accurate and kinda affordable. The chrome grill on some of them is pretty legit, too.

Atm i'm waiting for a Trapper Wolf and a Bo Katan, one should be here on Thursday and the other on Friday.
Still have no Scout Trooper. They are still asking 170 to 180 Euro for it, for that price i can wait some time longer.

It’s not too bad if you’re just doing one or two. Mask half the helmet, draw and remove the pattern, then transfer it to cardstock. Once you’ve got those base templates you can just use them to trace the pattern on both halves. The real one was hand sculpted so it isn’t perfectly symmetrical like I assume this one will be, but as long as you have an ok eye and some calipers you can get it pretty accurate.
Some makers are offering various solutions from vinyl patterns to stencil shells as well which you could probably scale up to fit this helmet. I painted this one a few weeks back using a stencil shell to trace and then hand mask the patterns.

Oh I'd bet the farm...they need to justify the cost of a new mold! They didn't even bother with a new Fett style mold for the prototype and other repaints...

That whole Fett prototype thing with the molded damage under the pristine white finish still torques me to no end.

You never know. They never did a Poe helmet repaint and there were options for that.
I would say it really comes down to if this one sells. Even with the costs saved with the core helmet in production, you still have additional costs for new products. If they don’t sell, you still lose money. So I am hopeful but I’m not betting the farm.

Sabine just dropped at BBTS, I imagine EE will be soon. Mine said estimated date of Sept 2023, wondering if this will be a scout helmet situation where they ship super quick.
