Said it when this came up before - I'm still not seeing 'stickers', nor do I see how Hasbro would successfully do stickers that wrap around hard corners the way this deco clearly does, especially given those wrap-arounds are in many cases awfully small and wouldn't give a whole lot of surface for a sticker to properly adhere to nor do I think Hasbro has done stickers on any of the BS or Marvel Legends buckets. Finally, give that, yep, the BS Red 5 is all paint then I will be...surprised....if they gone that route here. Hasbro decided to forgo play features and sounds in this thing for some reason, and I have to wonder if it's to offset the higher cost of paint operations. Whatever, since it looks like it'll blow away my DP standard Boba that's currently my display bucket, still happily awaiting my preorder.
Amazon.de just cancelled my pre-order. The listing seems to be gone at least from .de, .co.uk and .fr. US and Italy still seems to have it listed.![]()
Google translate from German:Did they give you a reason for the cancellation?
Man... how'd they go from 3d scan of the hero to that super sanitized symmetrical mess. How you guys are seeing wavy brow still is just impressive because its absolutely not there at all to my eyes. Why the desire to turn the helmet into something it simply isn't anyway? Same for the EFX PCR Boba, though that one is arguably a few steps closer but still monkey'd with all the hell and back.
Biggest issue with trying to turn these helmets into something they simply aren't is the misinformation that will get spread because of it. Same thing happened back in the day with the GMH helmet casting. Everyone claimed the MR proto helmet was oversize for years because of that casting when in reality it was the GMH that was a horribly shrunken mess.
Its awesome that these companies have access to the originals and will flaunt having that access to their advantage in driving up interest in it... but once they start monkeying with stuff, making tweaks, sanitizing or outright removing features that were physically visible on screen during filming, changing the actual shape and size of the helmet in places from the original, then they should be recognized as what they really are
It's there but not as pronounced.
if you are replying to the wavy brow comment ?
the area you marked i think is the mandible
the brow is above the lens area under the small triangles

it looked to me like vader45 was replying to the wavy brow comment he quoted above no mention of the mandiblesI believe he is talking about the asymmetry of the mandibles. The lowest part of the ears aren’t symmetrical either, but is very slight.

If you guys are complaining about small details like that then this helmet clearly isn’t for you. This is a mass produced $120 helmet made by a TOY company. I am very much looking forward to mine next year.
Quite simply because, as has been said, this is a high-end toy, and everyone does seem to be recognizing it for what it is - a 3D scanned, sanitized, but very, very nice looking bucket at a price that nobody ever would have dreamed would be possible a few years ago. Hell, as I said, accounting for inflation, the sticker price on this thing is just about the same as I payed for my DP standard back in 1999, which is immediately and obviously a far inferior sculpt and deco. However, rivet-counting collectors are not the primary market for these helmets - casual collectors looking for something a little higher-end are. Hell, even Anovos felt they had to put disclaimers on the original TK run if I recall, reminding people that (even though they did some digital clean up) asymmetry is just part of the sculpt, and is a feature, not a bug. If Hasbro shipped wonky, screen-accurate asymmetrical buckets guaranteed there is no way they wouldn't be seeing huge numbers of returns and complaints from people about 'defective' helmets.Man... how'd they go from 3d scan of the hero to that super sanitized symmetrical mess. Yes, that's what I was saying. All of the previous BS helmets have incorporated sounds and mics, or lights - much more than the simple LED that's really the only 'play' feature on the Boba. So that's my take as well - Hasbro decided to toss the speakers and computer and put those costs into a multi-stage paint application.I have heard they ditched any play features so the budget could be used to up the visual quality of the helmet.
The range finder isn't really a "play feature". Play feature refers to diolog and music and voice changers that would immerse the user.
