Bioshock infinite Vigor bottles

That is pretty awesome looking. Is there a place where you can order JUST the bottles that you could recommend that may have different shapes to where making Vigor bottles from scratch would be easier?

Just thought Id share a little of the design and fabrication process. Lots of different models and new techniques going into this one...

Hell yeah. I love Bioshock Infinite!!!!!

Looking forward to seeing some awesome work from you guys!!!!!

I'm sorry to say other commissions have come up and I will not be able to go about the VERY AMBITIOUS build we were looking to do. It's the way these things go sometimes.

Good news however is I was already in the process of finding period glass bottles of similar shape and may be able to point people invested in the true glass props to where to find them if you PM me. It's not cheap by any means but it is accurate.

Very happy to see where this thread has gone and how fast it is moving. Looking forward to diving back in once commissions are cleared up.

You know, if you guys are willing to make the buck for a ceramic mould, then you could make a small run of vigour bottles in actual blown glass just by linking up with a hobbyist glass blower ... there's always one hanging about craft fairs and the like ...

Glassmaking Technique: Roman Mold-Blown Glass - YouTube

That's not actually the period correct way of making these. I've found a glassworks in Central Virginia that does the appropriate method for period accuracy but they are deep in architectural glass projects right now. One of the further reasons why I'm holding off on the very ambitious methods I mentioned here.

Hello everyone, I am new here and a little late to the game but Dear lord you guys are doing amazing things. I am currently looking at purchasing a 3D printer with an 8x8x8 printing envelope and I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions I have.

1.) Has anyone sorted out the right height for the bottles? I know they are all different sizes but if anyone knows what size Undertow and Devil's Kiss are supposed to be I would appreciate the information.

2.) Has anyone done a 3D model of Devil's kiss yet and if so would you be willing to share? Stl format would be great but I am decent at doing model conversions, just not straight 3D sculpting, so I could work with any format if you have it.

Besides that though everything I have seen here is amazing! You guys do some incredible work.

This isn't exactly a bottle, but I think it shows off the effects of a vigor pretty well ;) Special thanks to christrom for editing this photo for me!

I am new here and i would like to ask if you would sell a finished, painted product. I dont know anything about clay or 3d printing and stuff but i am really crazy anout these bottles! So if you are willing to sell them tell me the price and we could discuss about more info. I

Can anyone give a recommendation for what 3D modeling software to work with? I have been using Bryce professionally for years but it just doesn't work for normal proportions. I have tried using Modo and Autodesk (Not 3DS) and ran into roadblocks with each. if anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very thankful.

This one is looking great. It's probably my favorite bottle in the game.

I'd love to see 3in set of all on shapeways.

No one is working on a salt bottle?

Have you tried Sketchup? I don't think it has much in the way of complex final rendering, but it is really fast and intuitive for the actual 3D model creation part.

That is what I have been using so far for scale projects. Splitting up models for 3D printing is very easy(Much easier than any other software I have worked with.) but some of the creation aspects are a bit difficult to work with. Looks like I will stick with what I have, Thanks for the recommendation!

That's fantastic. I had been wondering if real salt or a similar material is opaque enough for a LED to shrine through it (I'd assume regular salt would corrode the LED. Perhaps something like a small test tube in which the light could sit surround by salt. Doesn't matter though I love the look of it this one. I saw some on etsy I think and this blows them away.
