Most definitely the ZX271. Good eye! I was originally thinking something from the Masters of the Universe movie.

If I had to guess, there are some 1:6th customizers who made VERY good 1:6th figures of Kirk, Spock, and McCoy that look suspiciously similar to those.
They may not be the same (or from the same moulds) but I'd start there.

It's a series of metal looking posts running horizontal, in a row. I have no clue what the thing is...

It's a fuse board.
