Bender Futurama Costume.. (& props..)

still working on the old fortran foam/bottle..

(one of the last main props for bender)

*on the fist one i made, the yellow paint still wont dry.. if you handle it much you end up gettin paint on yourself, and that seemed a hazord...

the new paint seems to be fine~

because.. i have been making so many futurama props.. & such a big costume..

i designed a cart to hold the boxes and help with transport..

(still have some work to do on it.. but think its looking kind of cool..!))

(*& my new blue ping pong table..! i left the other table underneath so i can take this off and still do cutting..!)

well, this is most of it.. (for now..)

(**oh.. & though it would be a challenge.. i will not.. be doing this transformer bender.. nor the suggestion from my son asking "is there a steam punk bender..?") ~~

this is really strange.
i followed this thread since its very beginning, and at the very first moment, I thoght "Bender out of fabric? huh, I wonder how this will end".
Since then, everytime I got here, I saw progress that other people (like me :lol) wouldn't reach in two years, and you all did that in...what? 1 1/2 months? Damn number 1.

When I followed your progress and saw your pictures, I always thought "you gotta write something and give kudos to this guy, as this costume is AWESOME!"...but I guess I was way too impressed and forgot. Damn number 2.

And now, as I have to learn for exams and try to distract myself from learning, I thought it would be a good timing to make up the leeway: DAMN! I think i have to agree with laamberry, this here is (on of) the best costume(s) I've ever seen here (at least during the year I've been here).
Your choice to use fabric was absolutely perfect, this totally gives it this cartoon-character. Really really great.

...and I don't wanna start praising your props, otherwise I really won't get to learning my stuff anymore :lol

If there was ever a costume that deserved to win in a contest, this is it. Great Job!

One comment through, I think Fry looks better without the fake eyes, but that's just my opinion.

ECC 2012 Bender Futurama Costume..

loaded up for the seattle comicon..

we had such a fun time and bender was a HUGE hit..!

(the carts and boxes worked great for transportation.. & bender/futurama did happen to win the best in group 1st place medal &.. the best in show..)
