Bender costume futurama

did a few alterations on the costume to fine tune some aspects of the suit I didn't like in the past years mainly the legs ,arms and the mouth.
I used foam pipe insulation for most of the alterations and the new Krylon paints to add the color.
the mouth was done with light wire on a push button switch hidden in the Right hand so I can light it up in time with my voice,I do a passable imitation of bender so I can carry on a conversation with the crowd works pretty good
the arms went fairly fast the legs took forever because I had to use several different layers to get the stuff to bend without kinking hot gluing in small sections along the way ,like I said took forever.
most of you have seen this effort but I figured with Halloween coming up and Bender going clubbing again this year I would post the up grade shots for you to enjoy

:eek OK, now this would have to be my favourite unique costume EVER!!! Man, you've done an awesome job. Sometimes trying convert a 'toon to a 3D costume can fall on it's face, yours, however, has been well and truly nailed!!!

I had Bender out last night for a costume contest and he needs a few repairs and some Idea as to where to put some sort of fan to get some air circulating in the body even out side in fall weather its Damn hot in there!:angry
to answer some of your questions
I have no Idea how to add video to utube and have as of yet to get any video of myself in the costume but a guy last night shot a vid of me doing a promo for his band they said it would be placed on some internet video site If I find out where I will post a link here
Bender has his own interior drinking system if you look at the picture of the open front hatch you will see there is a bottle that can be removed and filled with Benders favorite beverage usually beer or ice water it has a long straw that goes up into the helmet ,hey if you have to go to a party in a trash can you may as well be lit.:love
He also has a Cigar that is battery operated to light with a reed switch so when he puts it to his mouth a magnet hidden in the helm switches it on.
oh yeah he took first place again.
