Interest Ben Solo - TLJ Flashback scene *no spoilers*

So, figure I should get this up here.
@guabe; and I are modding the crossguard design as I write this to become Ben Solos single bladed Jedi Training saber as seen in the flashback scene.

As I said "no spoilers" I will not go into more details of the scene and I ask you to do the same unless you put the spoiler tags to hide the comment.

Pretty straight forward, it's the version of Kylos saber as seen in the film before he falls to the dark side. Basically, it's seen as the crossguard we all know and have come to love but without the quillion.

We don't have 100% details if there is an exposed core at the top or the red wire. The logical assumption is that these were a part of his conversion to the crossguard, so this Jedi version will be much cleaner. The only thing exposed is the lower core.

So this thread is where you'll come to get updates on the progress of the run, and once I'm ready the official opening of it and the order process.
Everyone has been so great with my V1 and V2 sabers and I hope that the "Solo" will be as beloved as my previous sabers.

Some early renders of the conversion progress.

There will be a few small tweaks to the design of the Solo vs the V2 saber, small improvements to way to add the aux switch that will not change the look of the saber if you just want it for display.

Stay tuned here and at www.facebook.com/phoenixprops15 and at www.phoenixprops.net for updates on progress and run opening.

Very nice. I will be looking forward to adding this to my collection. A quick question. What are you basing the dimensions on? I happen to own a prop-shop Kylo which is an exact duplicate of the prop. Let me know if you need help.

Hi Luuke,

It's base on my V2 crossguard saber, which was based on the PropShop. At the time of designing the V2 we didn't have a propshop in hand and had to collect the measurments through another person. This time however, I've got my own prop shop so will be pulling measurements for the design directly. These are part of the tweaks we'll make on the design as we refine these measurements. Thank you for the offer of help, it's really appreciated!

Keeping an eye on this.
Spent those flashback scenes giddy with excitement over a new saber and gagging for a good, clean shot of it.
