Beetlejuice 2

I searched for any threads for Beetle Juice 2, and this is all that came up, with the last post from Dec 2014.
I know the search feature can be a little wonky. But, maybe this is the actual last thread...anyways, I saw this teaser poster and thought I'd post it.
I saw plenty other posters, but a lot looked fan made, and some not bad, but couldn't find info if real or not...so for now....just this one. (which websites ARE claiming is real)

I was never a huge Beetle Juice fan to start with, but its surely an interesting movie....and of course, its pretty much the reason we got Michael Keaton as Batman.

An actual real trailer. There are so many fan made ones, some that looked pretty good, but you could tell they were from other films/tv shows.

Looks like they captured the feel of the original. Something a sequel, especially when they are made so many years later, can capture.
Guess we'll all find out here soon.

Also noticed the worm in the trailer has a very stop-motion look to it, which is perfect.
I wonder if its actual stop-motion, or cgi that just mimics the stop-motion look.
Guess we'll find out when they have all the making of stuff eventually.

And if they ever make a part 3, I bet I know what the name will be.....

From what was reported a while back, Tim Burton has been reported to be going back to using mostly practical effects to mimic the same style of the first film. So, what you’re seeing is a legit stop motion puppet (as for the backgrounds of Saturn, it looked like he used digital for that while keeping the live action set and the stop motion elements old-school).

It really isn't hitting for me. MK isn't offering the kind of explosive energy as the original and it feels like he's just wearing the makeup. I always thought of Beetlejuice as a manic demon with dirt in his throat but this just seems like MK put on the eyeshadow and dropped his natural voice a little. Also, I know it isn't final but that airplane looked like Microsoft flight simulator.

Maybe this is a more subdued Beetlejuice. Maybe he’s not as manic as he was in comparison to the first film. As crazy as it sounds, when he tells Lydia, “I’m gonna make you so happy,” he seems like he actually means it and actually has a look in his eyes like he actually missed seeing Lydia (whereas last time, he was being completely pushy, and manic, trying to complete the deal in order to get out of the Netherworld). Maybe some time working in the Netherworld’s bureaucracy has softened him up. I guess we’ll find out when it comes out.

This STILL is the RPF, would you expect any less?! Have some respect for the old guard, you ... old guard!!!
I know... It's my own fault. I got up this morning & was hoping to come here & have some fun discussing some upcoming things I was looking forward to. Should've known better. LOL

I should've waited until after 6pm when everyone's had their applesauce & vanilla pudding & are getting tucked in for the night.

Oh well... I'll head over to a SW THREAD. I'm sure no one there's making any ignorant declarations based on nothing but hearing their own voices.

The prognostication abilities here AMAZE me. Entire performances are able to be determined from around 20 seconds over the course of 2 trailers?
All I was saying that we don’t know about the how and why of Beetlejuice in this film yet. Just because we’re not seeing he’s not going overboard like in the original film doesn’t mean that Keaton is being lazy in his performance, and like I mentioned, it might be possible Beetlejuice might have had some off screen character development in the time we’ve last seen him. He might still be a trickster demon, but in the time between the first and second film, doesn’t mean he might still be exactly the same and may have softened up in certain places in his personality.
