Battle Royale map case/holder for round neck - where?

Yes, obscure title, but I've no idea what this thing is actually called to search for one....

Looking for the map pouch from Battle Royale:

This is what came with the BR Kubrick set and looks spot on:

I'm not gonna pay £60 just to get a plastic pouch though....

What should I be searching for? Where can I get one? Anyone help?

Ziplock or the generic term "zipper lock" or "zip lock". Also try "resealabe" or "re-sealable".

Search on www.alibaba.com as this strikes me as an Asian product (Japanese) and would most likely be on alibaba rather than eBay. It appears to be a PVC bag.

Thanks. The odd "step" halfway along the top side where the neck strap attaches definately makes it look like it's designed to be hung around the neck. Maybe some kind of actual map pouch for orienteering?

I had to find something similar for my boss a few months ago. Try a Google/Yahoo image scan on "neck strap map case" or just "map case".

Not to hijack your thread but that BR kubrick set is awesome I had no idea it was out,is it still around.The movie is older so maybe the bag is discontinued if not did you try school supplies might sound silly but might work.

There are 2 or 3 of the bagged Kubrick set in eBay Shops - as I said though, they're about £60.

I'm curious as to whether Kubrick actually had the bags made from scratch or bought them in from a supplier.

If you do buy the Kubrick set, you're not only getting the pouch...you're getting what looks to be a pretty decent replica of the map too!

For my Battle Royale costume, I just found a clear zip pouch for pencils and such at an Office Depot (a place in the states that sells office supplies). I just punched a hole through the top and ran some black cord for the neckline. Not accurate at all, but it did the trick.

Would it be possible to get one of the A4 zip-seal document wallets, then melt / stamp the 'step' and lanyard hole?

I'm thinking like a piece of bent wire coathanger, greaseproof paper & a clothes iron? Maybe take a bit of practice,tho!

I already have two good quality versions of the map - one wth the students listed in English and another that's completely in Japanese (if anyone's interested I'll post the links), so it really would be JUST the bag that I'd be getting it for.

Interesting idea..... May have a go if I can locate a blue zippered wallet. It would have to be for A5 size though instead of A4.
