Batman vs. Superman wall display

I recently started on a new project to replicate the artwork for the upcoming movie. When complete it will hang on the wall.

It will be CNC cut and then painted to replicate this as best as possible.

There are are several versions of this with different levels of black over the Superman logo. I'll try to find a nice compromise.

I started with some art online and then created a 3d model in my CNC software.

I got the pieces cut out. The Superman logo is a separate piece that inserts into the Batfleck logo.



Sanded with the first coat of primer. I use Shellac for a first coat. It seals MDF so much better than other types. I switch to automotive primer for 2nd and additional coats. It's cheaper than Shellac.

Been layering in the weathering. Still needs a bit more on the Superman logo.

I wish I could paint like Photoshop!

I think this is as good as I am going to get it.



I am going to shoot some clear on it to seal in all the weathering and call it complete.
