Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I haven't been reading this thread, so not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but the shooting title for this movie is 'Sage And Milo' and they are looking for extras in the Detroit area:

At this point, we are looking for AUTHENTIC military personnel who can be considered for filming. If you have not served, don't panic. We will have more opportunities for you to work.

If you have military experience and would like to be considered for filming, please follow the instructions below:
1. Send an email to info@realstyleonline.com with the following information
a. Details of your current or previous military experience, including where you served and for how long and in what capacity
b. A cell phone photo of yourself
c. Your name and cell phone number
2. List your current availability (work full time? semi retired? work part time? retired?)

Filming will take place outdoors during the winter. AGAIN, filming will take place outside in the winter. You will not be outside for 12-14 hours, but filming will take place outside.

Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman.

She was in Fast Five and FF6. I haven't seen the last FF films yet actually, so not sure about her acting. She was apparently in Knight and Day but I don't recall her role.

But purely on her looks, I think she can pull off Wonder Woman. She has to bulk up and there is plenty of time for that.

I'm ok with the casting, she definitely has a foreign accent though. My concern with the movie is that all these youngish* superheroes are living in the world with an older Batman. Doesn't really make too much sense to me.

She needs to do some insane bulking up if she's going to pull off that character. Right now she is WAY too skinny to become the likes of Wonder Woman. She has a great face, but she needs some serious meat on those bones. She looks like she could get snapped in half by Batman easily.

So they have a movie that features three of comic books most iconic trio, and so far she's the only one being left out of the title. Well, as long as she's not the bast*** child of Zeus I'll be fine.

I know the movie is being batted around as Batman vs Superman, but that can't be the actual final title. Also, they finally put wonder woman in the movie and somehow you still found a way to spin it as anti women. Slow clap for you sir.

It's funny when I read this because even though I agree she needs to bulk up, I don't think the role of Wonder Woman calls for an "insane" bulk up. Strength is just a part of her being, not a part of her looks. When I watched bits of Man of Steel again, I actually found Cavil's bulkiness to be insanely distracting. Superman is strong, but you shouldn't be able to figure that out just by looking at him.

Well I should retract my use of the word "insane" because that insists extreme and abnormal. She just looks like a twig right now and perhaps a more well built crossfit type body, you know? Lean, not skinny. Healthy toned and a couple inches, you know?

Totally agree...I think Andrea Ager and Stacie Tovar have a modern Woman Woman body type.

I didn't say it was the actual title, just that everything we've read from what everyone is calling this to what the studio is aiming for leaves no such clues that she's in the title. Hence the "so far" bit in my statement. Plus didn't I say I'd be fine as long as they didn't go with her New 52 origin? Forget about leaving her out of the title, using that origin would be the worst thing you can do to her.

First, Lego: The Movie beat them to the punch, and that's already looking to be the "better" movie for all the DC characters. Second, she is bound to be less of a strong leading protagonist worthy of her own movie and more of a glorified support character who doesn't have an inch of character growth. This is being written by the same folks who gave Catwoman the job of blowing open a tunnel for no reason and putting Lois Lane in a position where she couldn't even push a freaking button without the help of a male character. One job, one button, and she couldn't do it.

And about the anti-women stick? This is DC/Warner Bros. we're talking about here. They're all about the belief in the "women don't work" department. Remember the comic "Superman/Batman: Supergirl"? Well when they made the animated movie, they changed the title to a generic "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse" and left Supergirl in her non-supergirl attire in the bottom left corner of the poster (which the makers of the film had to fight for no less). It's her story, but Warner Bros. doesn't want you to know that. And the animation team recently stated that they would not tackle a stand alone Wonder Woman movie again unless it involved the entire Justice League. The reason? Sales.... Even though if you were to rank all their movies this past decade, her title actually comes in at #4 above even stand alone Batman and Superman titles.

Absolutely. I'm just worried that they'll only write her as a bada** who is strong and intimidating, but not much else. I've read a TON of her comics and if they use that Wonder Woman for these movies, she's liable to be more the heroic Superman than the actual Superman is. I wouldn't mind that at all.

Plus, snapping a villains neck in an effort to stop them from killing someone was supposed to be her moment. Now we can't have that conflict between her, Batman and Superman because Superman would be like "Oh, yeah. That's no biggie."

They are trying way to hard now to make a just league movie like Marvel did with Avengers. Marvel planned it for like six years and did a great job with connecting everything. This just seems rushed. I'm honestly only interested in the batman aspect of it. I can't stand the JLA for some reason.

Somewhat related rant:
It's always the same with female characters in these kind of movies, isn't it? They removed trunks from supes because it was too ridicalous but I'm sure they'll put wonder woman in skimpy dress that she can't even run in without showing her p****. Then someone will say that because the female character is sexy and strong, their potray isn't sexist. And I get it, it's wonder woman. She's always been wearing next to nothing but still. I just don't like the way it always goes. But I guess that's just Hollywood!

Rant over. Sorry for venting!:lol
