Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Sounds like they're trying to speed up the process of getting a JL movie together by skipping all the individual character movies and just mashing them into this one.

Well, they're trying to play catch up with Marvel. They see every Marvel movie's success as money lost by not getting out a DC movie to run alongside it. They've been riding on Batman and Superman for decades now, where Marvel is branching out, taking some risks, and nailing it in most cases.

They're putting together a bunch of characters people will not feel very connected to right off the bat instead of building solo films and have them all come together the way they did Avengers. I think Marvel has a much better setup of things in how they allowed their characters to have their own films and then create an even bigger impact as a team when Avengers came out. I just can't see these extra characters feeling as attached in the DC movies as I would Batman and Superman. Marvel is leaps and bounds ahead of DC in momentum, but DC needs to slow it down and allow these characters to come into their own and then make the team thing happen.

I also see this as too fast of a cram of character appearances in an attempt to make more money off movie merchandise faster.

Sorry but what an awful choice for WW. Gadot makes it look like food doesn't exist at Themyscira, and from the films I've seen her in it's not like she's a very talented actress, meaning she can't successfully carry a solo franchise. I certainly hope DC/WB prove me wrong b/c I'd really hate for the first major female superhero on the big screen in a long long while to stumble right out the door.

A Justice League without adequate supporting movies to develop the characters is asking for trouble. It will be a bad movie or at best it won't be the truly great movie that it could be regardless of casting.

Indeed. I was never a comic book reader as a kid, but I watched Superman movies as they were released, well the first 2 anyway, I think I stopped there, and watched WW on TV and really enjoyed it. Marvel did a good job slowly bringing me into the superhero films, although now I do feel overwhelmed a bit with all the tie ins recently. DC is just throwing us into the deep end it seems for us casual fans.
