Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

You know the thing about being "dark"? It doesn't have to be literal. Look at Nolan's the dark knight. I'd say that most of it took place in the daytime. Year the tone was terrifying.

Whereas the Burton films all took place at night and they were practically fluff

I don't dislike the suit, I just think with how big and wide the thing is seems a little too cartoony for my taste. That and the stubby ears...I prefer the longer ones.

Just don't like it period. Sorry, didn't like it in TDKR comic either. This looks like rubber molded to look like wrinkled fabric. Never been a fan of the short ears. Don't like the bat symbol. Prefer Black to Grey.

Anything else?

^well, to each their own. I like it, and it makes sense if per se he picked up and modified Zod's suit. Getting back to the trailer. If Batman ask you if you bleed. Your gonna bleed.

Well, I agree with you about the ears. They don't have to be ridiculously long, but maybe a half-inch to an inch more would be nice.

As to the size of the suit, it actually makes sense.

Batman has honed his body to physical perfection, and Bruce Wayne is not a small person to begin with (neither is Ben Affleck, for that matter). I think it would look wrong for someone of his stature to be lean so far into his career as Batman. He doesn't have to have the perfectly chiseled physique with the washboard abs or the cobra back. Bats isn't about appearance. He's about power.

Superman, due to his Kryptonian heritage, can look like a 98-pound weakling and still bench-press a planet. His musculature is purely for show.

Here's a good infographic that, to me, explains why Batman is so big and wide:

Superman is Form. Batman is Function.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Iggy Pop has hit the 'roids haha. But I could be wrong.

Not a fan of the guns on the front of the Batmobile. Looks tacked on and toyish.

I see what you're saying and I'd even go so far as to say I agree with you. I guess my thing is it looks like they added a few layers of padding to the suit that, because Affleck has such a big imposing figure, isn't really needed.

Other than to add texture and necessary protective qualities (Batsy can't dodge every bullet or knife) I think the suit is quite well fitted.

Ben Affleck is 6'4" tall, three inches taller than Henry Cavill. According to Jennifer Garner, the man already has 17" biceps and has been working out 5-6 times a week for over a year. He ain't small, so the suit has to be big to allow for all the extra stuff like body armor, and will be even bulkier when he puts on the power suit to fight Superman.

I think the size of the suit is just fine.

It'll be interesting to see if they do any camera trickery to make Superman look taller than Batman and Aquaman.
Mamoa - 6'4"
Affleck - 6' 3.5"
Cavill - 6'1"

or if their heights are close enough it won't matter...

Ben definitely does not fill out the suit. Ben would have to look like Rogue athlete Dan Bailey to fill it out.

But that doesn't mean I don't like it. The camera makes it look like Batman is short and stocky and Superman is taller and lean.

Do we know for a fact that they're guns? Seems to me they could just as easily be some form of advanced microphones for Bats to listen in from the comfort and protection of the Batmobile when he's surveilling suspects.

I'm gonna get all three of these costumes on mannequins in my apartment living room I don't care how crazy people think I am X ). On a serious note though the 89' Batmobile had machine guns and they were used non-lethally so I'm sure it'll be a similar scenario in this film.
