Beards are pretty distinctive. If Bruce Wayne had a beard and then dressed as Batman, the citizens of Gotham City would know who Batman was within the day.
I love how "clean" it looks. Some of these cowls get carried away with the furrowed brow. How thick is the latex that it doesn't tear when taking it on and off?
Great job!

Thanks! I hadn't thought about this cowl in quite awhile. I had to retire the ultracal mold many years ago, it was fairly popular. That's one of the disadvantages of plaster molds, they eventually give out. But latex is easier and cheaper to pour and work with than urethane, and more forgiving. Urethane does come straight out of the mold with only a little trimming to make it ready to go. Both take practice, so the more castings you make, the better it'll get.I am a Bat Texan as well! Just learning to cast. You are GREAT at casting dude! Awesome work! I hope I can get that good. I am slosh, casting with urethane but I BET old fashioned latex is easier to do uniform thickness. I get so irritated pulling a cast that is all thick around the mouth and eye's, making it look terrible after cutting. Lol!
Is this a slosh cast or did you do latex in a plaster mold or what? I want to do what you are doing. It looks too good not to. I am doing a partition wall today for DEVING's Neal Adams sculpt that I finished up last year.
