Batman Cowl---Neal Adams FIRST PULL IN BLUE

Beards are pretty distinctive. If Bruce Wayne had a beard and then dressed as Batman, the citizens of Gotham City would know who Batman was within the day.

In real life, a beard wouldn't work for Batman, like Larry said. The SGB thing was a joke between me and a couple of other goateed guys on another forum. I hate shaving anyway, so I won't take mine off until it's time to suit up for real. Even then, it'll be stubble---kind of makes for a grittier version of Batman.:D

Wow, Batman grew a beard... and he's actually a ginger ;). Great work, this is one of the best original Batman sculpts I've seen ;).

I love how "clean" it looks. Some of these cowls get carried away with the furrowed brow. How thick is the latex that it doesn't tear when taking it on and off?

Great job!

Latex is pretty hard to tear actually, unless you have a sharp inside corner, like in the eye or mouth corners. As long as you round those corners, it won't tear. As for thickness, it varies from one part of the cowl to another, but it probably averages about 1/8" thick.

I really appreciate the compliments everybody---thanks!

What if it were in a setting where beards were the norm, and perhaps, 'wayne' wasn't the rich playboy? I know, it kind of rips away half of the story, but I think it could be doable and, mor importantly, interesting.

Still a vigilante bent on revenge for his parents death, but perhaps against an official of sorts.

Dunno???
