Hi guys! This is my first time posting(excluding the introduce yourself here), and my first time making a prop. I am literally on a no spending budget for this, so bear with me on my interestingly made prop(as in cardboard, duct tape, sandpaper, spray paint, and paintbrush!). By the way, I can't figure out how to post on my computer, so I don't have the picture on this post. Once I figure that out, you can see my beautiful work.
So what I did first was I took my paper and pencil and drew out the basis shape of the Batarang, for use in the cardboard stage. I only did it this way because I wanted it to look good, but I could make mistakes without wasting my limited supply of cardboard.
Next, I cut out my paper and traced it onto cardboard. I then cut this out as best as I can. I also tryed cutting off weird flaps, and that was quite messy. I reccomend not doing that at all, because they will be covered up in the next step.
Next, you wrap it all up in duct tape. Simple as that.
After that, sand down the duct tape with a fine sandpaper, so the paint sticks.
After that, spray paint it black and wait for the paint to dry.
Finnally, get a paintbrush and paint the edges red, using a reference image.
Well, I'm done now! Sorry about the no pictures thing, but I will be uploading some pictures. Bye!
