Batgirl in the Style of the Dark Knight Trilogy

I saw this and thought it was pretty cool. However I'd make some changes to make it your own.

This is possibly the best rendition of Batgirl available. Nice find and good luck to OP. This will be cool when finished.

its fantastic mate. would you recommend i use vinly for an adult bat suit or foam ?

I would use foam for the chest, shoulder and arm armor and then give them a Plasti Dip coat (liquid Latex). as for the leg and stomach armor...since you'll be moving a lot I would go with a vinyl. it will make it more comfortable for you.

really apreachate these tips man thanks very much. i need to get my hands on an under suit so i can really kick things of with my build. i live in the uk iv never been able to find plasti dip for less than £15 a tin so i can never get foam to be flexible with out snapping on me as i have to seal with glue it sucks so much

To mold foam use a heat gun or a powerful hair drier and start molding. As for something to use instead on plasti dip, apply a Mixture of Elmer's glue (the white glue we would use in school) and water. Brush it on the foam and let it dry. Do about 3-4 layers, then just paint with a flat black or low gloss paint spray paint. That will give it a latex like look.

Maybe the only problem with this design is that it looks really masculine, there are lots of references for making a TDK Batgirl suit but the best way would be to make one of your own ill try to give you some ideas, im also interested in this suit

I think that it'd be awesome to see a batgirl suit in a Tdk movie style influence! I like the idea of the full size cowl as to have a better way to hide her identy. I like the idea of a flocked long cape with a dark purple on the inside lining. Perhaps have the suit's armor be based on 3 main colors: black (mainly), with purple and gray accents. I do like some of the nightwing tdk style concept pics if those might be any influence.

Can't wait to see how tdk batgirl turns out!

concept pics? i would love to see them!

Interesting concept. Hadn't thought about batgirl in this story line. Would be kool to see a good cosplay of her in this format.

Great idea! Use deviant art for searching for ideas for inspiration (credit those you do use) and whatever style you choose- make it gritty, age it, dust it and dirty it! :)

This is great. Just make yellow bat logo, yellow belt, forearms and boots. If it is too much, drop the forearm and boots. Paint the highlighted "rubber" in dark purple. Using yellow inner cape can be a nice touch too. In that way, it can be easily distingusih, which one is Batman, and which one is Batgirl. Don't wanna punch a girl :unsure.

I like the idea of using the gold as the lining, but I highly doubt Nolan would have used it. I think he would've done some kind of tactical looking suit with retractable wings.
Can't wait to see your progress.

I have a black cape that I could sow a dark bronze metallic fabric to the inside or just leave it as it is. I also can shorten it a little bit to make it more like the one Christian Bale wears in TDK. I also found a black fabric that has a sheen to it that I can use as well.
