Received the buckle in the mail today, so I was able to finish working on the battle belt.
I had to adjust the tension on the two riggers belts. Once it was in position, it looked great and it adequately hides the belt underneath that actually holds up the battle belt.
I found that using the Bane Buckle simply as a cosmetic piece and NOT for the actual tension is better because it can stay in place without needing the two bottom loops.
On some people's builds, I notice the the two buckles had a tendency to invert, switching places because of the tension of the suspenders.
I also worked on the suspenders, adding snaps so they may loop around the inside bar of the bane buckle.
I decided against using the mini pistol belts for the suspenders because after analzying how they are attached to the Bane costume, I could not for the life of me figure out their purpose. Especially how they were attached to the speed releases (the piece of equipment that the red 550 cord is attached to).
However, when I thought of the principle I thought she was trying to achieve ... I figured she was looking to use the speed releases as a way of adjusting tension of the harness to the battle belt. With that in mind, I took the strapping that came with the harness and used THAT.
If someone can explain the use of the Pistol Belts, I'd be more than willing to listen, but honestly to me it just looks like she put it on there for cosmetic reasons because if one would use the pistol belts, they cannot fit through the speed release. Therefore, then the speed release would not be for any function, and it would be the cosmetic.
So, I took my artistic license and applied my "tactical build" concept to it, only including parts that would make sense to use.
I also decided I will be using my old Marine Corps cammie pants. With having four children getting ready for Halloween, I had to decide where to judiciously use my available funds to get the best overall Bane appearance.
I decided spending $75+/- for the pants could not be justified right now. :lol
