Bane - Arkham Asylum -Venom is flowing! - 8/24/12

Re: Bane - Arkham Asylum

Hahaha this looks great! Where did you get that upper torso part? I've seen some flying around but they're in the $500-$1000 range!

Re: Bane - Arkham Asylum

I have made some more progress, the details and painting of the guantlets, collar and shackles are done. Just need to slightly apply some rust and accents. The backpack attaches very nicely and weighs close to nothing. The belt is 50% done and still needs some more details. Still have a lot more to do before Dragon con

This is really, really cool.

Which muscle suit is that being used? The price range on the site is a wee bit large.

Dude, that is looking amazing. I'm really looking forward to seeing this once it's completely finished :D.

That costume goes HARD!! thats soooo cool

Re: Bane - Arkham Asylum -Updated pics - 8/6/12

Pretty cool dude, it's looking like you'll be the "bane" of all the other costumers at dc. Part of me wants to say add more bulk, but the logical part of me sees the ridiculousness in that XD. I do agree with the others saying you should consider painting on some green veins. But other than that little thing it looks great. Can't wait to see the Venom rig done.

On a side note, I think you have the exact same air conditioner that I have.

I always appreciate the input, you guys are awesome. The pictures do wash out some of the details but the suit has a very "veiny" look to it and I debate whether to mark it up with green veins or the glow wire. It would look great but the suit is so nice, it would be a shame to do it, maybe some nonpermanet paint. The overall size is more realistic compared to the video game but it still is impressive.

The suit is pricey but worth it, no regrets. I used some of my previous Iron Man stuff to pay it forward to get this.

Now I now where to get some parts for it

Re: Bane - Arkham Asylum -Updated pics - 8/6/12

rather than paint on veins, if you don't want it permanent on the suit could you just not use some green cotton/string and glue it on with a glue that will be easy enough to pull the green string off when finished with it?
I'm no expert at these things just thought i'd share my thoughts....

Suit is looking amazing btw! keep up the great work :)

Have completed the detailed work on the gauntlets, collar and shackles

Working on the belt and the leather work is going rather quickly. The tubing was rather heavy and immobile, so i changed hoses to a lighter transparent hose which I am painting red.

Awesome work so far! I love the arkham take on most of the characters and you're actually making me like Bane!
