Back To The Future Replica Prop Builds.

Hi guys, hope you are all doing well during these strange times-and keeping busy- building! So I’m still relatively new to prop making, and new to the RPF. This is my first post! For me, building started around two years ago, I had been watching Adam Savage’s online show and thought, I’m gonna try this. And felt I had some decent success. The BTTF trilogy are my favourite movies and I already had a replica prop collection, but some of the pieces I wanted to add were hard to find, didn’t exist, or pretty expensive so I decided to do them myself. So here are a few pics of my builds. I included a little 1/64 train which was customised to look like the Locomotive from Part III, to go with a Hot Wheels display. Would love to hear you guys opinions and pointers, and more than happy to answer and questions! Thanks for reading!

Love the plutonium case. Been thinking about which prop from the movies I want to do first to go along with the Delorean model I’m building. Where did you find the trunk with the patches like that?

Looks like he just bought a black case, cut it down in size,

painted edges chrome, painted the body yellow and slapped paper decals on it. You can find black anvil style cases like that on eBay.

Added a couple of various other small pieces lately! Some more Part III Walkie talkie & batteries, Clock Tower donation cans, Kal Kans, and Valvoline Oil cans from Part II!

It’s the red “bailout” bottle from behind the drivers seat in the Time Machine!

I have worked on a few bttf props myself, recently I modded the standard air mags (not by Nike) and I noticed in the films that the tongue of the shoe is way higher and thicker than the Nike released ones and the standard ones, I’ve tried to replicate the tongue on my pair in the following picture:
