found this in my basement, whats the correct width of the belt and cuffs?
:eek You should totally make a mold of that and cast it. That looks dead on to the movie. Except the cuffs are different from the belt in the movie. They might have used something from a different type of chair. Keep the width the same because you don't want it to look cut off. For the thickness of it, I would think it would be 1/3 of the total thickness of your piece, but I can't be sure. Here's a picture to show the thickness.

1- I guess it's rubber or plastic, and the buttons are in plastic
2- the belt and the cuffs are meant to be attached to the jacket, if it's what you really mean ^^
3- the material is red rubber fabric, i guess this is a bit lighter than actually rubber

The above belt piece is indeed the kind they used in the movie. I've never seen the actual chair piece in a picture before now. At least we know that it still exists. I would buy casts of it if they were to be sold. And is there any confirmation of that was used for the cuffs? They are clearly different from the belt.

cut out the pockets from another older pair of jeans and use safety pins to pin them in place.

I saw a hat for sale with a fabric that looks close to the interior of the jacket. It said it was a vintage 80's hat, and looks close but maybe the strips of color are two wide. I would be happy if I could track down enough of this type of fabric to make a liner.

As Edward H pointed out: "The fabric liner is not printed... Its actually a crushed rainbow dyed fabric that was then dyed black... The only places you can see color are inside folds and wrinkles of fabric... Its amazing... The more it moves around the more color is exposed..."
This would explain different widths of the color strips as they are a result of a random effect during production.
If you look closely, the fabric is stretched over the shield of the hat, exposing the strips and making them look wider than the wrinkled ones on the back of the hat. To me, this fabric looks pretty close.

Hey guys! In the middle of making my own Marty 2015 cosplay for July. I've got the Members Only jacket as a base but can't find the red nonslip mat stuff anywhere. I mean I've found loads of it but not in red. 'Does anyone have any ideas where I could get it in the UK without paying a ludicrous amount on shipping?
