Big update!
Are the materials for the mock up from old guess jackets or are they new sourced materials?
My picture above is just the pen drawing function on my phone. Earlier in this thread I showed that I will be using a mixture of new Selex parts and original Guess top snaps that I repaired to be reused. Are the materials for the mock up from old guess jackets or are they new sourced materials?
Alright cool. Has there been an update on the red vest too?My picture above is just the pen drawing function on my phone. Earlier in this thread I showed that I will be using a mixture of new Selex parts and original Guess top snaps that I repaired to be reused.
Not yet.Alright cool. Has there been an update on the red vest too?
Already ten times better than HG.
18.What size is it going to be?
I agree, however, you do have to keep in mind that this is on a very boxy excuse of a mannequin and it may be distorting the shape. The example of the vest is better.A few things are being fixed. I'll list them below. It may get confusing for him going back and forth with emails and messages on here so I will mention him so he sees all of this in one place. Indy Magnoli
1. A handful of areas will have the concentrated dye faded away as much as they can. The old snap holes will be repaired in the same way the waistband was.
2. The side seams need to be sewn from the inside. There also only needs to be one stitch line for the arms and back piece attaching areas.
3. The top blue parts need more curvature. This was hard to determine earlier in the process without seeing it sewn on the jacket.

None of these notes have to do with the body shape. Only thing regarding shape that needs to be fixed is the top blue parts.I agree, however, you do have to keep in mind that this is on a very boxy excuse of a mannequin and it may be distorting the shape. The example of the vest is better.
I meant that the perspective of it wrapped around the body could make the yoke appear steeper or narrower than intended, which is why I said the vest is a better reference.None of these notes have to do with the body shape. Only thing regarding shape that needs to be fixed is the top blue parts.
Well as those areas sit now, they look like straight lines. Which is incorrect.I meant that the perspective of it wrapped around the body could make the yoke appear steeper or narrower than intended, which is why I said the vest is a better reference.
Good, good. Still looking very nice. The red line is going to be followed to the nest of their ability for the curvature. View attachment 1931998
Its the camera they are using. The fabric in person is indeed a tad bit darker than the correct blue, but not by much. Not as dark as that photo.By the way, is the blue that dark and desaturated in person? In the photos it looks WAY too dark. Maybe it's just me.
Fantastic! They replicated the pockets perfectly.Side seams fixed. Second pic showing the interior pocket liner.
