Babylon 5: Hand "Link" dimensions?

Hi folks,

Looking for some rough dimensions on the Earth Alliance comm links everyone had stuck on their hands in Babylon 5.



Hoping someone might have a genuine prop or replica that can would take some measurements for me, otherwise I'll just have to wing it size-wise in relation to the top of my own hand

There are some metal versions to be had on eBay (used to have one back in the early '00s, but damned if I know where it wound up). They're not the greatest quality, but may be a good jumping-off point.

I have a resin Commlink which measures 2 inches across the top, 1 13/16ths tall and 1 1/8 inches across the bottom. It is about 1/8 of an inch thick not including the buttons which are 1/16th of an inch tall. For theose metric folks like myself, it measures 51 mm across the top, 46mm tall, 30 mm across the bottom and is 3-4 mm thick depending on the edge/ Keep in mind the base is wider then the top. The buttons are 2mm tall. I am posting some images if the Commlink witha ruler.

Thanks 19narvik40, that's exactly what I'm looking for :thumbsup thumbsup Now I can make some rough prototypes and finalise a sizing that looks correct for my hand size, before tackling the final version.

Not a B5 fan but I was curious given the post title and thought this might be more of a scanner like the Handlink in Quantum Leap and wanted to give my approval for metric!
