Avp Spear Kit Completed.... With Pics

Thx man. This is/was just another example of how a prop replica can turn out, when you
love the prop more than your own Ego..... and you are not doing it just to make a buck. Sadly most do not really look close enough at the finished product to understand what it takes to bring this kinda detail out for the fans.

I carve this stuffs detailing with a dremel, for example. And Intercell literally carves like butter. 1 slip, and you can ruin a piece. It is that easy. The detail line artwork on the handle. That took over 8 hours.....alone..... for example. Sourcing enough vid material to do that artwork was a whole other story. lol

Thankfully there are SOME peeps who get it. And that makes it all worthwhile. ;p The naysayers and detractors.... and the Good Ol Boy Clubbers that are deeply entrenched.... they can go pound sand.

I get it. I love carving. With a dreamer or hobby knife. I spend hours working on details. I use the laser to get things rought and then the real work anf fun starts. I look at all the items I have made with a head loop to find even the smallest imperfection. No one else will see this but I do. Craftsmanship - it's almost a lost art.

Keep carving away !!!!

Awesome! And I agree. I need to add that my Masters look decent when ready for molding/casting. ;p But my good friend Gene (Seahunterr) takes my sculpts the rest of the way home. It is HE that finds ingenius ways to mold, then cast. Then all the prep work, the paint up... the list goes on. It literally takes a village to raise a prop replica. Not to mention the absolute Genius of the Original prop designers. I never forget who the real talent is. ;p

It's certainly a team effort to make these props. There just arent enough hours in the day with work, family etc to get much done in free time. Gary, my wife Adriana and I make a great team, we enjoy it and will continue with many more new props on the way.
