i have been busy trying out these templates

i think they came out not bad, i have done

shoulder armour
belt buckle
groin flap
leg armour

i made it out of a 2mtr by 1mtr piece of foamies that cost £7.99 and i still have half the roll left

Where did u get the templates for the chest armour????? cant find them in this thread, only the central chest plate....

Thanks a load for the huntorial VinManMac!!!

This will help out a lot considering I'm on a tight budget. I was going to try to cast but: [1] It seems like it cost a LOT of money to purchase the material. I maybe wrong, but the Dragonskin silicon was about $175/gal. and I'm on a budget due to finances [2] Even though I looked at Hez's thread hundreds of times and contacted him, I'm still lost on the process of molding and making the cast/mothermold--LOL, complete newb here.

I'm looking at using foamies, but I wish I could find them here in the states. All I found so far are Foam Boards from Michael for $63 for a 3/16" X 20" X 30" piece.

Again---thanks for the huntorial, helps out a lot!!!

But are these the foamies you mentioned:

Wow, I just read all 16 pages! Now I know what Sintra is, LOL. I had thought of doing my armor in foamies but after putting "what is Sintra" in Google, that's the way I'm going. I also found that you can get adhesive backed Sintra as well. Might save the old fingers from the hot glue when layering up thin pieces.

Like everyone else, thanks a million for posting these up. While I am not going to do a screen accurate set of armor, this has been enough info to design my own style of armor. Also thanks to everyone posting pics of their work, especialy djgs.

wow... this is all 2 impressive. Thanks for all the templates Vinman.

on the lower half of the bell

If you dont mind me asking, whats the best way to get this texture and would it be easier with the foamies or Sintra PVC? Thanks in advance.

Hello fellow hunters,

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this or if I should make another topic or something but I have been using Vinmans templates to make the torso armour and I have also had an attempt at the backpack which I have successfully made but now I am stumped.

How do you attach the backpack to the armour? I was think velco or hot glue - but wouldn't the backpack just pull away as its heavy?

I am unsure which method to pursue. Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers
