Avengers Movie SPOILER Thread

Maaaan, I was all over The Infinity Gauntlet like a fat kid on cake! Ron Lim was amazing to pick up after Perez.

I always picture Surfer missing grabbing back the Gauntlet
by as Maxwell Smart says... " that much." Oof, major fail for Surfer.

Yeah I have fond memories of that era of comics.
I've ached for some good space epics since.
The Thanos Imperative was enjoyable but
it was a TON of characters to keep up with. It made me of fan of
Rocket Racoon and Cosmo though. LOL

I'm a little trepidacious about the Thantos thing. Mind you, I haven't read enough comics to be familiar with him, but if he's part of that Galactus realm of "we cannot attempt to fathom the never-ending, immense HUGENESS of it all!"... well, ho-hum. That stuff doesn't do it for me. Human character.

In Avengers 2, they need to give Thor a horse.

Bah.... The movie would have been 100 times better if Cap had lifted and used Mjolnor since he can. He is one of the few characters that are worthy.

Hulk wasn't worthy that is the only reason he couldn't budge the hammer.

The way I've always seen it, Nick Fury has always held the safety of the US/Planet/whathaveyou above all else. If the only way to stop an impending invasion and complete distruction of the US is to lie to the only people he knows can stop them, he would do it without hesitation. He's not out to make friends and drinking buddies, he's doing his job. He had no problem firing an RPG at that jet to stop it from dropping a nuke, even if it meant killing his own men.

Mjolnir is kind of tricky. I mean you could say it becomes heavy because Hulk was unable to lift the hammer, but thor used Mjolnir to pin Loki to the Bifrost and it didn't kill him. I mean if it became immensely heavy, in theory it could of killed Loki since Ashardians arent immortal. Also if it was immensely heavy, it would of sunk into the mud instead of bein held up by the mud pile.

I like to think that the hammer is very heavy, and only someone with superhuman strength could wield it. If the hammer is on the ground, then it cannot be moved by anyone period. If the hammer were to say land somewhere with a sharp angle or drop, it would fall due to gravity until it landed on a flat surface.

6 movies?

Iron Man 1
Iron Man 2
Captain America
Thor
The Avengers
The Incredible Hulk

I'm guessing Ang Lee's Hulk is not included.

Makes me wish I didn't own them already.

It doesn't look like the helicarrier. Kinda lookks like the briefcase the tesseract was in. That would be cool beside my Blade Runner briefcase set.

That's partly what I was stabbing at some pages back. Loki wanted Thor and the Avengers to defeat the invasion. Putting Loki in a position for the Infinity Gauntlet is a nice point. I'm not familiar with the Thanos/Infinity Guantlet story so that didn't occur to me.

As long as there's some kind of plot, rather than a bunch of scenes stuck together to use up 2 hours, then the 'macguffin' doesn't really matter.

Could be the Gauntlet, or could be a free foot long at Subway. As long as it's done well.
