Okay this might be a noob question, but am I going crazy?
I've been following this post all along and seemingly I've been able to see all the other pictures, but finally get to a partially finished update and I can't see the image for the life of me. CallmeMilo, did you upload this from a gamer website by any chance?
Only thing I can think of is that you did and this d*mn work computer is blocking out the content.

That suit looks awesome!! I didn't really like the Avengers version at first, but it has definitely grown on me. Especially seeing someone so faithfully recreate it. I can't wait to see it finished!

Did you go with the Oakley Tactical SI shoe, or the SI Tactical boot?
From looking at the pictures on the Oakley site, I think the boot is probably the way I'm going on mine.
Reason being the shoe you have to add your boot portion to the top of the shoe, and it doesn't provide a lot of support for the upper portion of the boot.
The Oakley SI tactical boot (same sole patter BTW) you can mount the upper portions with more points of contact to attach to IMO.

Ponte knit? In my opinion, it's usually quite hot, and won't give the right effect. (Too thin, really.) I'd suggest something like a cotton with a thick, wide weave. I found some in yellow that I thought about using for an XMen: First Class costume, but never ended up making that costume. It was a fantastic fabric, though.
Ryan -- your costume looks GREAT. Is it coming to the US for any cons at any point?

Unfortunately won't be able to attend Dragoncon this year (which would be my con of choice) but hopefully 2013 I'll be able to bring Cap and other projects.
I'm gonna need a bigger suitcase, haha.

Oh and here's another couple of pics of the suit so far, being worn this time at MCM Expo, here in London. Hoping to have the gloves, and helmet finished for a photoshoot next month.
