Avengers Movie Captain America Project

Hey guys, thanks for all the comments. Here's a quick update on where I am with it.

I plan on starting the main build of the fabric parts of the suit in early-mid November. I've done a detailed drawing of every panel, front and back, and think I have a good understanding now of the way the suit's put together. Here's a really early version of the artwork I was putting together.

I noticed in the notes on the shirt design that the belt will contain 6 pouches, but looking at the photos, I see 3 per side, which would lead me to believe that there are 9 pouches in total (with 3 behind the back) See the below photo...

Actually there are NO pouches in the back! I guess it's so they don't get hit when Cap has his shield on his back? No idea, but I respect the design. Anyway, here's my pic to back up my 6 pouch plan :p

You and your damned "photo evidence":$

I'll be making this outfit as well. I hope we all can come up with some great outfits. We are lucky to have such a support group here! I wish everyone all the best-let's keep each other informed of our progress, for sure!

stupid link didn't work for me because I'm from Canada!! Oh well, the blueray comes out in a couple days anyway.

Hey guys,
I just found a fabric called ChitoSante. It has a good weave, and is breathable, fast drying-basically a wicking fabric. I hope that this pic shows the weave:)

Hey Looch, I like the colour, but can't see much of the weave. Any chance of a closer pic?

Ditto. Where did u find it. Looks that fabric with a different color would go great for the man of steel costume I'm making

Well, I don't know where to get it other than here in Canada, but that was at Fabricana. I think that there are some in the states as well. Remember, it's called ChitoSante-waterproof, breathable, made from recycled materials, etc.-I like it for my Cap, for sure, but it will make a damn fine MOS!

Does anyone know if there's a source for the gloves? I know the boots are Oakley SI Tacticals, but the gloves remain a bit of a mystery. I took a bunch of reference pics, and drew this artwork based off what I found. Does anyone have any idea where this glove came from?
