Avatar question

Can someone clarify avatars for me?

I read this in the rules:

Signatures may be used and must be no larger than 125 pixels in height and 600 pixels in width with a file size of no larger than 100k. Text larger than BB Code's "Size=7" is not permitted in signatures. All avatars should be 60x60 pixels and under 50k in file size. [/b]

But I go to the Avatar portion of my controll panel and see this:

Your Avatar Settings
Your avatar must be no bigger than 90 pixels by 90 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 50 KB.[/b]

I also note that almost all the RPF staff violate the top rule. Why is that???

We're just crazy.. :wacko

Actually, I think sometime in the summer of '05 we increased the size limits of avatars from 60x60 to 90x90. I think there was even a stuck announcement about it. Some of our help docs and FAQs may have missed getting updated.

There was definitely a stuck announcement about it with lots of talk regarding the change.

It's just avatar size... :confused
