Attack of the Clones Review... Plinket at it again!

For some reason I liked his TPM review better - a little less of the "outside review" segments in that one. Just seemed to put too much emphasis and time on his "other" activities in this one. But nevertheless, can only agree with most he's saying about the movies.

Strange he hasn't commented on the typical (hey, this guy is supposed to be evil later, so look how evil and scowling he's looking when he's younger, when he's supposed to be good. Are people blind or stupid or something - 'cause who the **** isn't thinking... hey, he's looking so angry and evil all the time, wonder if he doesn't turn bad soon) And then when he does they do the "oh, I didn't see that coming" double take before being butchered by the guy they'd not trusted for three movies. Oh wow... what a transition... I don't trust him, I still don't trust him... yup, he did exactly what I expected and why I didn't trust him in the first place... but now I'm gonna act surprised of this "sudden" turn for no reason.

I liked the part where he points out that Padmes' decoy is blown up in
the begining of the film, yet later, the same girl is in Padmes' highrise apartment with Ben and Ani.

"Hey, aren't you dead!" LOL.

I only know this 'cos the latter is Rose Byrne.

I always thought of the prequels as Star Wars' slower, more retarded brother....i didn't class them as "best mates", but i found them tolerable and occasionally amusing. the one thing that always bugs me about AOTC is having to play "Spot Obi-Wan's fake beard" in every other scene....it's so frickin' obvious you can almost see the spirit gum!

...having said that, i agreed, and was ashamed by, so many of Plinketts points, that i don't think i'll be able to soberly watch 1 and 2 again.....one of the reasons i'm partial to 3 is basically the excellent picture quality!

Woe is me....

Man, I gotta say I agree with about 90% of this. It's not nearly as good as the TPM review, which was practically a 60 minute film/fiction writing course, but as far as specific insight to the weaknesses of AOTC, he pretty much nailed it.
