Review - new e-FX Attack of the Clones - Clone Helmet

Today we received the new e-FX Clonetrooper helmet from Attack of the Clones - and we are most certainly impressed! We managed to snap off a few photo's but will take a few more over the weekend in natural day-light. More later but this literally just dropped a few hours ago. Many thanks to the guys at e-FX for sending us this review helmet.

Following on from the Master Replicas Episode III Clonetrooper, e-FX's Episode II has exactly the same build composition and quality - Its precisely what we expected and we've not been disappointed. The finish is superb and it has a high-gloss lustre.

at one stage there was talk of a separate "neck ring" to go under the base of the helmet, but for whatever reason this hasn't happened. However when on display it isn't really noticeable, and it complements the MR RotS Clone helmet well.

...note the rear LED, powered by a couple of AAA's. Nice touch!

So no unexpected surprises. Just a damn fine looking collectible helmet.
If you've sitting on the fence on this one, jump. You wont be disappointed!

Its got the same velour-lined interior as the MR (and e-FX) helmets. Its glossy, fantastic and I love it.

Does it have that "New Clone" smell that the ROTS had?

Yes, I nice looking helmet, and it looks like they put the ear hole a little higher from the prototype. What was the price on that?

Yes - it has the same "smell" as the MR Clones :lol

Price-wise I think its something around $430 (ish)

As far as its size I'd say its almost exactly the same internal measurements as the MR RotS Clone

Cheers

Probably my least favourite of the Trooper helmets, but it looks as if they did a fine job on it.:thumbsup

Not keen on the massively recessed visor and the narrow slots under the ears, might look better with the red go fast stripes :confused

Jez, does yours have the same poor finish on the tip of the "mohawk", as Philip's from Rebelscum?

It's ok...I guess. I mean my hasbro clone helmet owns that any day.:lol

No I'm just kidding. One of the coolest clone helmets I've seen so far.

And that clone trooper dance is pretty funny stuff too.

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to remind everyone that the AOTC Clone Trooper Helmet goes on sale this Saturday, Oct. 25th, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time at www.efxcollectibles.com.

I am always checking in to see if anyone has any questions so if I can answer any questions about the sale or the helmet please post them and I will be in to answer them.

Amy

Couldn't agree more. The neck ring is an essential part of the design IMO.

Yes it is and if this piece is being portrayed as a collectors item, with no intention of being worn, put the neck ring on.

However, its fair to say they had dual markets in mind when creating this piece. Collectors and costumers, otherwise why take the time to create the opening and put a nice liner in it.

I'm sure someone talented could make a neckring as an attachment/accessory to the eFX clone helmet.

so $500 shipped for the efx, then another $50 - $100 for the modded neckring? I will buy a fanmade thats a bit more accurate at that cost.

The efx is great along side the other products as Jex pointed out, I will stop raining on this thread, just not happy about the final bucket for the cost.
