Assassin's Creed 2 Full Build WIP (VERY pic heavy)

Oh man, I'm looking for that doublet pattern now. Might take me a bit but I'm searching!

Hey Guys and Gals,

Haven't really updated this much recently, was working on it though!

I got off track a bit with a side project (a real cash commision! yay!) for a cosplayer that wanted a star wars style communicator. Can be seen here: http://www.therpf.com/f9/star-wars-communicator-listerine-pocketmist-192391/

So now I'm back to work on the assassin's outfit...

Started on the sword but I'm really not wanting to sand the blade sharp by hand so it's on the backburner until I can get to a belt sander to do it quickly...

Instead, I started working on the cloth. Now again, keep in mind I am in shape (round to be exact) so I need a decent amount. Being 6'2" and big boned, I bought a bunch of basic broadcloth for lining and interfacing and I'm gonna be getting some nice heavy black gabardine for the outer shell.

I am planning on having the hood and doublet done for halloween and then a dress shirt and dress pants for halloween costume. After that, I will be concentrating full time on hand made slit sleeve shirt, the 3 layers of skirting and a set of (possibly) hand made boots...

Much more to come, sorry it is so slow going but I only work on this stuff off and on when I can...

Thanks for looking!

Here is the work on the sword handle:

I rounded a square piece of wood and I wanted to sand grooves into it this time so when I do the wire wrap like I did on the boot dagger, it will be deeper into the leather and give a better grip.

Here is the pommel for the sword, it matches the one on the dagger... a little bigger but not by much lol

As I said, I also started to work on the cloth bits...

So first, I started on the hood:

Some preliminary tests in small scale lol:

I drew out the pattern based on a design by someone on DeviantArt... I can get to the site right now to get a link (They deserve credit for this too) so I will look at home later...

And full size on a poster board to make a solid pattern...

I have 1 layer of the hood in broadcloth and working on the second, then I'll have to get the gabardine for the shell... hard to find this gabardine stuff...

Thanks for looking everyone!

Hey all,

I'm looking for soem info for this build... does anyone know a place I could get a *cheap* renaissance white shirt?

Also, I'm looking for a new place to host my images... flickr/yahoo have really burned me lately and I can't rely on them anymore...

Thoughts?

I have had a lot of issues mainly with yahoo but I don't want to get that going in this thread lol any other alternatives you guys could suggest?

I use photobucket, but that's not necessarily a recommendation. I picked them at random years ago and don't feel like transferring things elsewhere. For purely selfish reasons I'm looking forward to seeing you move to something other than Flickr. For some reason my work computer blocks images hosted there so I have to get on my phone to see any updates with Flickr photos.

Looks so good so far. Can't wait to see it finished. I really do hope you can get the hood 100% accurate. You see so many AC costumes that are great but the hoods suck.

Hey henry, trust me I want that too lol, hope to be done the hood soon and will have pics...

And to rambler, I hope you looked over my post with your phone then lol. I think I might just start hosting them on my own web host... I just don't really want to putall my partially done images there... I wanted to keep it to finished projects but we will see

Thanks for the views and posts guys

Of course I checked it out on my phone! I'm a sucker for a good AC build, and this is a good AC build

Well sorry, not much recently... I had to take a break for xmas and I'm writing a technology article right now so I haven't had a chance... I will be back to it so though I promise!
