hey guys

so i am currently making an amazing spider man 2 suit and have been looking into puffy paint, i have seen that many people use navy blue for the honeycomb effect, but then i stumbled across this picture of the actual movie suit. the picture shows that on the blue sections the honeycomb effect is actually silver, after all my investigations into other peoples suits i have never seen anyone go for the silver effect, is there a reason why people haven't for some reason . Looks more like a reflective grey.

Could you mix Silver and Blue paints together?

Would that work? Showing up as Blue ordinarily but Silver when hit by bright lights.

That sounds like a great idea , but im a bit nervous about mixing paints , is there a certain % more than the other?

Hi, look the metallic black, the result is awesome !
yea the metallic black looks great, but i wont always be in the sun, so it may not be reflective the whole time, do u think metallic black will drown out the blue to much?

When I have made the puffy paint, I have try to mix blue and dark, I was very unhappy with the result, I have finally use black puffy paint, and I love the result !
For my Second suit, I'll keep the dark and use the metallic.

Kiyominai is right, and luna has posted some pics of the true costume, and is not blue, but you have to do whatever you want dude !

I actually took the photo in the original post. As others have said, I assure you it is a non-metallic black. It only appears silver because of light catching the satin finish.

wow! you guys are correct , thanks you some much for pointing that out, i will go to the shops tomorrow and possibly hunt down a matte black fabric marker

,okay after searching all day in craft shops as well as online i have not been able to fine any fabric markers in the colours of (matte black or matte grey) does any one have any alternatives that i can use, im heading for 90-99% screen accuracy, btw im using an orharder print if that helps. Thanks

People have used fabric paint mixes (Brand: Tulip 3D Paint)

Oracle1982 is offering screen printed fabric. You could check out his thread:

I'm currently seeking alternatives (3D printing)
