Are there cheaper alternatives to Smooth On products?

Wait wait, just how big is the item you want to cast?! 16LBS of Silicone is something I'd say only the large scale makers would need, I have a 32 oz kit which is plenty for any thing I need made and it doesn't take much to cast a Wand (Pottermore) handle of about 5 inchs in length two part, unless this thing is as big as my planned Termina Clock Tower in 28mm scale (Or whatever DnD scale is) then this is way way too much Silicone and it will most likely begin to run out of shelf life before you can use it.

Black Magic Craft a cool dude in the DnD crafting scene made this mistake, he purchased a gallon of Smooth-on and he nearly ran out of time on using it, if he hadn't needed to cast his Frost Grave mega tiles he would of had two buckets of congeled (Did I spell that right?) rubber, alot like how Flarp Putty/slime will slowly become a hard chunk (Very hard do not use a blender to try to crush the thing long story short I nearly had it flung into my forehead as it shot out the blender glass) make sure you don't buy more than you need or it will be a waste and I don't know if there is anyway to recycle the two parts once they become blobs (I mean for the sake of not just throwing it into the garbage ruber is dangerous after all in nature.) so it's big mistake to buy so much.
