AP Stormtrooper Armor - The way it SHOULD be!

Kind of OT but a buddy of mine just got his AP and I keep hearing everyone talk about how "thick" the ABS is on this set.  It doesn't really seem it to me.  If that's what defines "thick", the more accurate TE sets must be made of rice paper.  Though I have never seen a TE in person myself, but I know when or if they become available again, I want a set to display.

Uh, I own 2 sets of TE armor and it is NOT rice paper. He knows how to form and used .093 Styrene. Most people DONT use styrene (as they dont know how to form at all) and rely on outside sources to pull their armor. TE did all the work himself when he was making suits. Sadly, he has moved on.

Just another note: while the AP armor may be nice and idealised, the TE suits are the ONLY ones that have all the matching parts. The GF/AP and others are missing parts and mirror some of them to make a complete set. Just FYI for you all out there.

....rec'd my kit last week. Thumbs up all around :thumbsup .....fantastic armor and a fantastic seller. I've already started to trim the pieces.....a lot of debris when trimming since this is a much thicker pull than the FX kits that I've had....my Dremel is definitely getting a workout. :p

A buddy of mine has a TE kit (ABS, I believe)....and I found it was quite thin....even thinner than a couple of FX kits that I had. I find the AP kit much thicker...although the detail is slightly less sharp than the TE.

For my tastes at least, I'd rather sacrifice slightly less detail for a thicker pull......which seems more durable to me. Not slammin' the TE kit at all....I just found it delicate...

The TE abs suits, he said 10 were made, were done by an outside contractor as a test. He abhored them and swore to never let someone else pull the suits. The ABS are garbage. No detail at all.

I was making a statement that was intended as a little joke and I apologize if it came across like a dis on the TE armor. Like I said before, I have never seen one myself bit I know they look AWESOME in pictures and would not hesitate to order one if I had the cash.

What parts of the AP suit are mirrored?  I know about the left bicep but what else is wrong?

All the arms are mirrored: shoulders on down.

The lower left inside leg is a cut down mirror of the outside right.

also the knees are NOT off of anything real at all. Again, the TE suit was the ONLY one to have all the correct parts from film and tour suits.

Hey, I have one of those helmets, they are awesome.

I wore it last summer at SDCC with my FX suit.
