First, if this isn't the appropriate forum by all means relocate this thread.
As the title suggests, I am wondering if there is anyone in San Antonio making even a modest living as a propmaker. This city does not have much of a film industry afaik, and I am not prepared to move to California.
I am not prepared to try to market my own skills, I feel I have too much to learn, but I would love to apprentice myself out to anyone making a go of it. Heck, I will sweep the shop floors and clean up after you! I am familiar with all the processes and fabrication techniques, but I could use practice and am sure I have alot to learn.
Its something I enjoy doing, and if I could pay the bills doing something I love...
If there aren't any locals, anyone have an recommendations on getting there?
Thanks!
JM
