An alternate take on my Lost in Space Jupiter 2 Lift off to crash Sequence. I wanted the entire piece in Black and white to reflect the classic feel of those early, spooky episodes.
It features my custom model work and scratch building.
A 18" Diameter "HERO"Jupiter 2 with my custom light system.
The interior flight deck of another 18" Diameter Jupiter 2.
A scratch built viewport and control area based on the early Gemini 12 Controls.
A 9.6" Fully Lit Gemini 12 build.
The models were flown on two wires...the Lydecker method. The crash sequence was accomplished by filming the model against a natural sky and sunlight composited into actual filming locations of the pilot episodes.
The meteor sequence is again the smaller model, blue screened into meteor sequences lifted from the pilots.
