hi all,

Im not the biggest fan of the films but i think Steve Wangs take on the Guyver is awesome.

Here are a few pics of some Guyver stuff im working on.

First is the Steve Wang model kit, nearly there, just need to tidy up the eyes and add the highlight/ lowlights to the red sections.

next is my 1.1 scale helmet, just gotta redo the silver buts on that and install the lighting

Lastly is a low polygon 3d version im working on the steves awsome style.

unfortunatly the flash has sapped all teh shading out of the photo so ill try and take some daylight ones if anyone is interested.

comments and critique welcome

very cool.....

you did a great job on that helmet.

one of my "life time" goals is to get either that kind of helmet, or a life sized guyver. ironically never a huge fan of the movie or of the anime, but the costume design is spectacular, and steve did a great job translating it into 3d.

:thumbsup on the displays.

Nice finish there, funnily enough my detolfs pretty much look the same as yours including content. It's a small world. Nice job though. :)

My brother is a huge Guyver Fan. He has the same Model-Kit you showed above and
I assembled and painted it for him.

That Helmet rocks - I'd love to get one for my brother someday - where do I get one,
and what does an unpainted Helmet Kit cost ... any info would be cool - :rolleyes

Cheers,

Jesper

Great to see other Guyver fans here.

I've been hook on Guyver since the late 80's when I stumble across the comic books and model kits while vacationing in Asia.

Over the years I've build allot of japanese vinyl Guyver kits, but My favorite has to be Max factory's 1/6 Guyver & Zoanoid Guyver sculpted by Steve Wang.

My second favorite is this one, a realistic version of Guyver (pic below).... I forgot the maker of this kit.

I had a foam casting of the head pull from the studio molds years ago, but sold it :cry
I bought a resin Guyver head (same as the one above) last year.... But I noticed the two mouth vents (were the steam comes out when Guyver transforms) is different than the movie version. The seller says is a studio mold pull, but I'm not so sure :confused

I also have a casting of the 1/5th scale stop motion model used on the first film (also sculpted by Steve Wang)
The pic is the model in it's original condition (with some damage) but it's been re-tooled and I'm ready to get some pulls off the mold next week.

id love to get one of those studio scales ones if you feel like pulling a spare :love

that little pic is the one I did. :)

http://www.heycomputer.com/anime.asp

my movie version is in the sci-fi section

I've been a big guyver fan. I think the original language editions came out way too late though. The american-dubbed dialog is pretty painful to listen to now. :p

awsome job. Someday ill get to finshing my helmet as well, that paintjob is scaring me :p

Hi all iam new to this forum your work on the Guyver unit is fantastic and was wondering just what colours was used to paint your Guyver unit, i have just bought one of these along with th Zoanoid Guyver but it doesn't come with painting instructions. So if you could give me a run down on colours i' be grateful.
thanks

Great work! Guyver was my first anime ever. Im seriously digging the colors on the Guyver 1 kit. So, anyone wanna tackle doing a Guyver Unit?

Love Guyver, i have the entire series on bluray. still waiting for the two movies to come out in hd though. Ive always wanted to own a guyver unit like in the movie but i cant find anybody who makes them.

Steve showed that at Wonderfest one year. I liked it. I don't suppose anyone knows what he used for the movie guyver's eyes? I don't want to just paint mine.
