Denix replica flintlock problem…any ideas?

I bought the Kentucky version of flintlock by Denis in hopes of doing a Jack Sparrow conversion. All was going well until…
I unscrewed the hammer so I could sand off the back enamel. Easy. All I did was screw the hammer back on but now it stopped cocking. What the heck did I do wrong? Ten minutes earlier it was working perfectly.

The mainspring broke or is ‘unsprung’. Depending on how hard it is to remove the lock plate and such it can be an easy fix or a pain. I have never done on a denix but repairing 1853 enfields and 1861 springfields isn’t too bad.

J'ai dévissé le marteau pour poncer l'émail du dos. Facile. J'ai juste revissé le marteau, mais maintenant, il ne s'arme plus. Qu'est-ce que j'ai bien pu faire de mal ? Dix minutes plus tôt, il fonctionnait parfaitement.

.I don't know if you've solved your problem, but I've taken mine apart several times to turn it into a jack gun. I haven't finished modifying it yet, I'm going to print 3D metal parts to get the best replica.
