I was thinking that maybe it was a hose of some sort to either a vacuum, like a shop vac, or a dryer duct thing. Like that's what could be used even if it's not what was used. It's probably not a dryer vent/duct hose because I don't think any of those is made in a material that you can see the light from an LED through. That's for the under part that everything else is sitting on top of.

Don't be scared. I would suggest not to rush Into molding until your ready. let us here at the RPF know what your wanting to achieve. and what you have at hand. and I'm sure someone here will walk you through the process. I would like to help but I have little to no experience with molding. but there Is absolutely tons of Info here on the process.

What's the difference in resin and epoxy?

Epoxy's are mainly for bonding things together. at least that's what I use them for. if epoxy's can be used for something else. I don't really know. and as for resin's. there are much more experienced people here that could chime In please..

cool! look foreword to the pic's. and a quick question. so your going to take the gun make the cyber gun. and that will be your master? and you plan on casting that?

No not really. I plan on making a master for the barrel. But I guess I could make the whole gun a master and cast the whole thing.
