Ant-Man (Marvel Phase 3) Pepakura Build

No new updates other then I did not like the helmet section so I scrapped it to start over again. Ill have more tomorrow.

As I'm working on this a couple questions cross my mind.

1) I'm already looking to my next project. Anyone have any ideas or requests?
2) I don't own a copy of the Pepakura software, but that is because I'm a "Mac Man" is there anything similar for OSX?
3) The question I'm sure has crossed almost everyone's mind... As a hobby or spare time gig, how can someone go about making money doing this?

Off topic I know but hey it's my thread...

1 - unless you wanted to invest a LOT of time, don't do Iron man of anything halo :p It really depends, were you wanting to make the models for the costume? Or just use existing templates? Though being a mac user, that could be well... problematic as msleeper has pointed out.

3 - people are always 'casting' their props and selling the casts. Or you can charge for commission work, though I'll tell you this, you are going to need to build a pretty darn good costume (not saying you can't, just stating something obvious :p ) to get people interested in wanting to buy from you.

Good luck on it, I can't wait to see more progress.

This is looking awesome.

For an off topic question though, how come you're posting pictures of your screen you've taken with your phone? surely someone with your knowledge of blender can take a screencap.

I'm moving and Internet has been turned off until we get to the new house. So all updates are done with my phone.

Fair enough. Didn't mean to pick on you, I spotted someone else doing a similar thing, it just confuses me when people do things the long way sometimes.

I'm feeling WAY better about the helmet section now.

WHat do you guys think?

This is truly inspiring to see someone with this much talent ready getting to work on such a new conceptual design, love it so far. I wasn't sure on the new Ant-Man look but your "inference" designs (if that's the word to use) have sold me on Wright's Ant-Man. Props to you

Man you are doing it the easy way and i totally thought i would be the first to do this. Makes me want to stop on mine lol. This was a 2 hour raw sculpt, and was just going to sculpt the helmet and then 3D print the hoses to attach to it.

Great work so far though really can't wait to see this finished.

Anyone else notice that the helmet is VERY similar to the Cap TFA helm? With a bit of the Marvel NOW eyes, and of course the add ons.

I did notice that this afternoon, although I must admit I had to fudge the side view and make up my own that fits between the front and back.
