If you do let me know I have another helmet it would go perfect withnah i'll be happy as long as it arrives looking as per the advertised photo's (i'll take it on the chin that i thought it would need less trimming). Things in my life have happened since I ordered which mean I won't have enough time to spend on this kit as i'd have hoped, so i'll most likely keep the helmet and sell the armour kit.
QFT :thumbsup Ahh the good old days :lolThe people complaining are seriously cracking me up.
I've been changing and adding subtle weathering to my armor for like 5 years LOL. Even my GF helmet that I kept pristine for years and years now has subtle weathering.
Even the "Death Star troopers" and the hero closeup helmets had dirt scuffs scratches and smudges.
It doesn't look "real" if it's perfect.
And to anyone confused about the accuracy comparing the symmetrical waste of plastic that is the old MR injected molded helmet to this... Let alone the RS or the "upcoming" MR suit....
Well, you don't know enough to even own a set of armor.
Do some more research and look at hd stills from ANH before you spend a single dollar.
Us old timers have speant 20 years or more watching the movies frame by frame and discussing all the details we find...
Basically the debate is long over.
There are those who know what is accurate. And those that don't.
It's a simple lack of knowledge on the subject.
The issues with the items received in this thread should be irrelevant after the thought of what you paid.
2 years ago you would have speant $2,000 for untrimmed armor with untrimmed helmet. No undersuit, no straps, no belt, no holster. And you might wait a year or 2 to get. And more than likely no way to return it... So you would work with whatever you got... To me that was my most enjoyable time in this hobby!!!
Don't send it back. Pass it on to an RPFer that would appreciate it.
Go to eBay and search for 'FX armor'...
LOL.
Don't be knocking my FX! I'm still rocking an FX armor kit with an accurate helmet...:lol Ken FX Armor is too good for these whippersnappers! :lol

And believe me... I payed more than $350 for the armor alone...![]()
Each one i read that was checked had the protective film.
Armor parts from the kit, not the helmet.

I think it looks amazing, very much like my RS helmet.

And I think the second box will be a lot smaller therefore.Everything except the black under suit and neck seal came in 1 box.
Ok I have a question for the experts and please correct me if I'm wrong.
I know the Anovos suit is based off the ANH stunt armor and I know the ESB suits are just repurposed ANH stunt suits
But going by whitearmor.net, starwarshelmets.com, and this very site are these the changes needed to convert this from ANH to ESB:
Paint the ear bumps grey and black
Trim out the eyes to be slightly larger then the ANH stunt eyes
Replace the trapezoid hand guards with the Snowtrooper style
The traps, tears, and stripes were decals instead of hand painted. (If i remember right the Anovos helmet used decals instead of hand painting so that should count anyways.)
Paint the frown black on the helmet
Are these the only real differences?
99% sure I'll keep it as is but just was curious in case I change my mind.

The instructions seem pretty detailed, still cant believe you get all this other stuff too
Perhaps not... I ordered my kit on 04/22 and received it today. According to the e-mail from Avonos it was supposed to be shipped Feb/March...
