Anovos Protest

For those attending Celebration I want to submit the following:

There is no need to organize much at all if everyone simply goes up to the booth, on their own, and reports to whoever is working what their experience has been with Anovos.

It does not matter if they are hired hands or not.

I, myself, would tell them that I put 3k into getting a costume THREE YEARS ago and am probably going to miss a fourth Halloween coming up. I will also tell them that I will never order from them again and also report that, when the subject comes up among friends, I feel a responsibility to let anyone know what my experience has been.

That is just an example.

Everyone just go by and report what their experience has been and then leave.

Be polite.

Refuse their apologies.

And if potential customers are near by and happen to hear then there is nothing we can do about that.

But we have much more right to be there enjoying the event than they do.

Oh believe me, I love torches. I mean I am really ******* pissed off. I have never been treated even nearly this disrespectfully by any company or service of any kind in my life. And while it seems Joe and Dana think, "oh if only we were allowed to tell them what was going on they would realize we ourselves are victims too," that IS ABSOLUTE CRAP.

These are two pedestrian psychopaths, delusional, who could give a **** about us. They are not "fans" like us except in the capacity of any fan who thinks they are going to "make it" but for the fact that their sensibilities and talent are far below what it takes to succeed.

That said, everyone simply walk up, state how long you have been in, how long it is taking to get your money back, anything else that is on your mind - without profanity - and walk away.

Let's see what kind of numbers we get.

Be polite.

And take video and post it to youtube so that we can post it here!!!!!!

I honestly don’t know what you guys can do next.. again, I’m not supporting anovos, I’m just trying to protect you

If you have never sent them money for costumes and patiently waited for 3 to 4 years for it, then found out that there are other people who makes the same costumes in a 3 - 4 month turnaround time with the same quality, and have to put up with the brush off and buck passing when you call for 3 years then you wouldn't understand. Grab your pitch forks and go voice your opinion. It's your duty to protect your other fans from this. That is the problem. They cant kick you out the con for telling them within earshot of other customers their service sucks. If you were ready to drop 2k to 3k on an item you would want a review from a previous customer and this is the best way. Until we all stand up and demand better then we will get nothing but the garbage they choose to give us. We fund this company, and we should demand that since we give our hard earned money for a product we should at least get the item as promised. If you dont take this opportunity to voice YOUR OPINION( you can never be kicked out over your opinion) then we all will have to accept that our voices are worthless but our money is gold.As an individual we are nothing but as a unit we are unstoppable..CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY

I think you are confusing the term protest with the term protest demonstration/rally. What is being proposed here is not group gathering or staking out the area with signs. Nor are they proposing to draw attention to themselves in a populated area. They are simply approaching a rep and informing them of their experience with the company.

Let me ask you this? Are the reps willing to hear the positive stories from their customers during the convention? If the answer is yes, then they need to also be willing to hear the negative ones as well.

I would also suggest that if you wish to ensure your message gets to people that might be able to make a difference, put it in a letter with the details and include some sort of contact information so they can get a hold of you in order to allow them to resolve the issue.

I would also recommend this action for anyone who also have had positive experiences. For a company, it's always nice to know what is working and what is not. A lot of times the only time people ever express themselves is when something goes wrong. So if you support Anovos, do the same thing. Go up to the rep, tell them what you like and drop them a nice letter.
 
Right - this is is not a public display/ demonstration with signs etc. I like walking up to the booth and looking at the items. Some of them are quite well made.

And when someone at the booth tries to engage me I say that I wish I could buy something. And that I wish these items were actually available. And that in my experience they are not because they were never sent. And that I would have to be pretty foolish to spend more money until things are resolved. But I do like the products.

No one will be kicked out for that.

But, like Halliwax said, you will be kicked out for making a scene of any kind.

Recall that "maturity" and "acting like an adult," with respect to rnbuda, have been skewed in their definitions these days. Anovos does everything they can to approach us on an emotional level and get us all excited. They do not ask us to order something with a kind of numb resignation to the unpredictability of life. They WANT us excited.

But why is only positive emotion and excitement mature?

And why is anger and disappointment always called IMmature?

Only actions can be designated as such and I am ONLY CALLING FOR 'ADULT' BEHAVIOR.

If no one at the booth engages you then you may not get a chance to say anything.

But simply telling a sales rep. that you will not buy because of your past experiences is both "adult" AND "constructive." And you will not be kicked out.


Heck, I'd even go one step further: IF there is something there in their booth that you want to buy, ask them if you can buy it there at that moment. I would purchase from them if an item is in front of me. But if they say that what you are considering is only the floor model, tell them why you will never do that again. NO WAY you will get kicked out over something like that.

Do NOT tell them that Anovos is like a child who seemed normal for the first three years only to have doctors discover an extreme example of developmental disability. Do NOT tell them that they are too immature to realize how poorly they treat the people they claim to value. Do NOT get on top of their display table and take a crap, etc.

Me personally, if they had 8k of mine, I don’t think I’d last long in the convention lol

I would also suggest getting a phone number you can call to check up on your refund status.

That sucks man... I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through this. Everyone that has invested big funds into this company.. I really hope they pull through
 
The one main thing they do at Anovos, which betrays the highest level of naivete, and that is most egregious attempt at manipulation, is issue updates that repeatedly attempt to get us excited. It is flat out mean.

Check this out - from their site:

"This item has completed production. We are currently awaiting these items to arrive to our fulfillment center and anticipate shipping to customers to begin in late March and continue through April. We are moving this item to Spring 2018 on the shipping calendar to reflect this."

Doesn't sound that bad except that it is FROM MARCH OF LLAASSTT YYEEAARR 2018!!!!!!!!

And still nothing.

So in any conversation at the booth I would mention this as a reason for not buying anything that I am not already holding in my hands while I hand them my funds.
 
I personally will be having a adult conversation with whomever is willing to anwser/discuss my concerns at the Anovos booth next week. I have 2k wrapped up with them over 2 years and nothing to show for it.

A civil court filing charge usually costs about $38-$136, depending on the city and state ;). That would be my next route and then drop off a copy at the booth and calmly walk away. No words needed. Would only cost you a vacation day the day of court (y).
