When, at the end of an awful, stressful day, you get the idea to just walk a little off your beaten path and go for a rare beer n burger, you need that beer and burger.
And the beer and burger taste as good as the simple, no-nonsense transaction it took to get it.
It is something that "works" after a day of hell.
But when the waiter doesn't show up, charges you in advance, and asks you to fill out an application for your beer and burger it compounds THE F out of the rest of your day. Even worse is when you fill out the application only to watch the restaurant close two hours later after they wake you up and kick you out with no food and drink but hand you a "40% off" coupon.
There is no, "that's okay I have food at home" maturity/ healthy approach crap.

Not a peep from them since May, when they promised to refund me promptly after verifying CC number used for payment was still valid.
Not a peep from Disney. And my bank still shrugs and says it’s been far too long to help.
I know that a while back someone came in here and cautioned everyone against calling them crooks, liars and thieves, so I won’t do that.
What I will ask is, when the end result is the same, what’s it matter what you call them?
Never, ever, again for me. Not direct, not third party, not second hand, not eBay, never.

What’s really sad is that there are multiple items “in stock” that I would buy RIGHT NOW if I had confidence they would ship in a day or two.
I can't help but feel this is part of why they spent the entirety of 2018 repeatedly reassuring customers that the Kylo ensemble had 'finished its production and would be shipping soon', all while they were secretly shopping around for a new manufacturer because the product was actually ruined and would require an additional 2 years of delay (assuming they even do ship it in Q1 2020). But they gave enough hope with their blatantly misleading updates for customers to hold on just a little bit longer, running out the shot clock so that their banks would no longer be able to help them.
Ditto and I am going a step further, boycotting ALL things Disney as they are now, imo, complicit in Anogos stealing from their customers, with Product that SHOULD have been going to their long suffering Customers ending up in their Parks instead

Did you ever expect something else from Disney (or any other big company) than to turn things only in their own greedy direction?

I’d even say that Disney was, up until late, one of the most consistently professional companies and retailers still around. Vicious or not, they literally delivered at every turn.
Any idea if the TFA Han Solo jackets are really shipping ?
I hope they are shipping for the sake of everyone who has been waiting years for it but if they are packed the way they are packing the latest shipment of STD Phasers, which they charged $50 for, you might not be happy with what arrives at your door. Someone received one the other day that was in a very thin box packed in an envelope with barely any form to protect it and the P1 was broken. I'm sure Anovos will be jumping at the chance to rectify this, or not.

Let me preference this by saying, I have zero inside information, I'm just going off the history from this lying company.
No, they're not shipping. I doubt highly that they've even been made.
So question for everyone here. Why ANOVOS? I mean, okay, it’s licensed. But we’ve seen they don’t have the provenance for some of their items. Many of them that are supposed to be “screen accurate” end up being almost as bad as some of the eBay cosplay/Chinese sellers. Is it resale value of.a licensed item? Is it the fancy package? I mean we can all go to the junkyard and find some amazing 3D printed/custom made items. I’m just wondering why ANOVOS? Especially when Corellian Dry Goods and Magnoli Clothiers AND BobaMaker make made to fit items and are just as careful about details as we are and it’s just as good if not better.
Thoughts? And trust me, I’ve got my gripes with ANOVOS. They have $3K of my money for years now.

For some its less risk on customs surprises. There are reports that fan-made stuff was not allowed to be imported since it was deemed counterfeit from to the customs agents. When Anogos delivered it was a safe way for those that didn't want to get surprised that way.
Before brexit europeans had luck on a few sources from GB being available since parcels in the EEA are already past the customs barrier so the risk is cleared, too. (used that for ordering from RS) => Some alternatives exist if you know of them. Another reason why anogos still gets new customers is that they get "free" advertisement on news sites around the SW topics

But why us? I knew the risks yet I ordered anyway. Me? Trek. The green captain’s wraps are almost impossible to find outside of them anymore. And I’d be taking more of a risk with someone like Kerezman and no one else has patterns. For for me, okay I thought I’d take the risk.
But YEARS? Like I STILL DONT HAVE my STD phaser. I mean really?! Two years...
Star Wars, yes I have a few things I’m waiting on. Like my Solo ensemble, I should have bought from Corellian or Magnoli. It’s TAILORED AND SCREEN ACCURATE.
Honestly, I guess I was thinking about the resale value. A store-bought, licensed item has more of an actual resale value than one made by fans for fans.
Anyone else? Why did you order from them knowing what we know now? Especially with the hard part stuff, like armor and helmets? I mean they all laser scan the hot toys figures or model them, 3D print them, clean them up and mold them perfectly nowadays.
