ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

First, sorry for your loss. This is the first christmas for my wife without her mom, she went straight from being more or less fit, over needed help, needed daily care (thank god she lived in the upper appartment/floor in our house, so my wife was always there as long as it was possible), and then proffesional care in a place that was able to take care for her dementia and all other needs 24/7, only 2Km from our house. My mom has COPD and is down to 20% lung capacity, and is so stubborn to not really accept any help, and dad is also not the fittest anymore, after the lung cancer op things get worse, never gone back to his state before. So i have a idea how it feels to be more or less "helpless".

But ..... that´s totally unrelated/different things.

Nonetheless i always got my stuff from them (but i stopped ordering immediatly when things and timelines started to go south), i will not buy their stuff in the future, not directly and also not from other places.
It´s not due to the delays alone, it´s just their behaviour, how they handled things. Due to that I simply don´t want them to being able to pay any of their bills from my money.

Sorry for your loss as well. I know what it’s like to lose people you care about, especially at this time of year.

Its my hope Anovos delivers the jackets to all of you. It may help to start bring back their credibility - if they consistently deliver and resolve the backlog throughout 2020 (for all the licensed franchises).

This is a community, we all sign in here to have fun, talk about every fandom, prop, costume and story we like, it’s a shame that Anovos has made several of us angry or disappointed (myself included).

My brothers if they were here would have said calm down as well. Which is irony, since they always said I was as emotional as Mr Spock...but I digress.

Lets see what happens here.

Just piping in... I too got notification (on the night before Christmas eve no less) that my Han Solo TFA Jacket was ready to ship. Unlike the seller I immediately responded and paid my invoice for shipping because that's what you do when you are an honorable person.

That said, what I found most interesting was the line in the e-mail that said, "Now that you have successfully completed our Payment Plan..." As if it was my payment they had been waiting on... LOL I had that thing paid off years ago. Jeez.

Cheers
Steven

Looks like some folks got a lot of carbon scoring in their stockings.

Comparing actual human suffering and abuse to people not getting some material products in a reasonable time-frame? Maybe they don't deserve to be in business after all this, and I'm certainly not alone in being wary of placing new orders until, at the very least, all things have been squared.

But what kind of person comes in here and begrudges some good news after all the crap that has been going on in this thread, and a possible (if current indications prove true) tale of redemption? I usually try to stay out of fights around here, the RPF is my happy creative place, and I'm not especially sentimental about the yuletide season, nor am I especially forgiving of certain actions people take, but to be so petty... that is pathetic.

Try having to force-feed a dying loved one liquid food in a futile attempt to give them strength enough to fight the infection that is killing them, only to have to watch them die in your arms a few days later. Maybe that will give you some perspective.

Agreed, Joatrash FX - actual human suffering is already too much to deal with. So much so that people, in just some kind of grab for relief or even to build remaining memories with someone who is terminally ill, dying from dementia, or leaving home for school (college), will do something crazy like spend $3k on a costume. One does not get this things to sit by themselves. They do it to see a smile from someone who is running out of smiles.

Were I just getting this stupid thing for a "collection" I would not care much either way.

Anovos = smiles denied

I'm still awaiting an email from them confirming my shipping address change.

I already paid for shipping though. Has the amount changed drastically or something from when you first pre ordered?

This is some of the most blatant virtue signalling I've yet seen.

I did not pay shipping when it was pre-ordered... just the cost of the item - which I did on their payment plan.
Maybe if you paid the full amount up-front they charged the shipping at that time/ Don't know.

Cheers

Ahh ok. I paid shipping and the total up front, like an idiot. Just hoping I actually get it as I've been waiting long enough.
